A guy wrote me the other day and told me that his brother-in-law sends him Words for the Day on occasion and then he made a point of telling me that more often than not he disagrees with me on just about everything and that I am full of myself. (Ouch!) He went on to say that he reserves the “right” to disagree with me.

Incredibly in the very next sentence he told me that he was trying to accomplish something in business that I’ve already accomplished. He knew from reading WFTD that I had a wealth of expertise on this subject and a host of reliable contacts and then he asked if I would share it with him.

Hmmm Should I have informed him that “I reserve the right” not to share anything with him about anything because he is full of himself?

We have between 30-50 construction workers on our plantation resort most any day. The other day I saw one of the worker’s trucks had an Obama sticker on it. Considering that I am convinced that in the past two years Obama has done more to harm this great country that I love than any other president before him, should I “reserve the right” to tell this guy to either remove that sticker and quit campaigning on my property or remove himself pronto?

Yesterday a guy called and wanted to deliver a horse that my wife bought somewhere up north. He said he needed to deliver it at midnight last night. Huh? He wants to deliver a horse at midnight on SUNDAY night. Should I “reserve the right” to tell him that we’re running a plantation and not a waffle house and that if he wants 24/7 service perhaps he should go there?

Of all the attributes that Jesus Christ effuses I admire His love and forgiveness most. It’s a shame that we are mere mortals, is it not?

Mark 11:25
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
