We welcomed my 7th grandson Ryan into the world last night. He weighed in at about 6 pounds, which would be a nice sized largemouth bass. My son Jon took a photo of him moments after he was born and he appeared to be well proportioned and red as a tomato.

Jon said he came out in a rage, screaming and peeing on everyone within ten feet. I’m going to see him today and hope that he will be well diapered and simmered down by the time I get there.

The world seems to be getting more and more wicked day by day and in order to raise a child up and not have him become overwhelmed by the evil that is overtaking it, will require some work. I believe it will become more and more difficult because one look around the world clearly indicates that we are entering the Last Days. The Bible predicts that the world will get more and more evil right up until the day the Lord returns, and there is little doubt that is occurring right now.

Does this mean all hope is lost? Not at all, Jesus Christ conquered the world and all of the evil that is in it. It does mean that we must put on the full armor of God every day in order to survive and thrive. Faith, prayer, Bible study, and fellowship with other Christians will propel us into peace and prosperity.

If you love your children you will teach them that one cannot make it in this evil world alone, but that they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them.

Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.
