I was with a customer in Philadelphia yesterday and we talked about some serious gang related problems plaguing that city. It appears that some Asian gangs are taking over parts of the city and they are incredibly vicious and have done things like punish someone that crossed them by raping the man’s wife in front to him and then they killed his child before his very eyes by slowly breaking one bone at a time and torturing the child literally to death. Imagine watching your wife be raped and then your child being tortured like that and then having your own life end when they turned on you. My friend wistfully longed for the days when the Italian mob ruled. They would leave the family alone and murder only the perpetrator that had crossed them.

The conversation moved on to the nuts in Washington D. C. that murdered all of the innocent people and had plans to go for school children next, followed by bombing police officers. After they received ransom money they wanted to start a school’ in Canada to teach some 300 homeless children how to become murderers like them. We then mentioned Osama Bin Laden and his latest ramblings spewed with hate whereby he wants his followers to blow themselves up and murder innocent people including women and children in the name of God’. Unfortunately Osama is not the only one killing in God’s name as many Christians think it is justified to kill abortion doctors in the name of God and their cause.

My God does not want anyone killed in His name. He dislikes violence and is all about love and peace. All of these people are influenced by satan, not God. Our adversary, satan, loves all of the aforementioned. We tend to underestimate the cruelty and horror of his demonic mission. The Bible compared him to something people of the day could relate to, a roaring lion stalking around looking for someone to tear to pieces and devour. It is hard for any normal God fearing person to understand how anyone could want to do some of the things we read about that are being done every day.

The Bible mentions that the world will become more and more evil as we approach the Day of the Lord”, that special day when Jesus will return for His children to deliver us from evil forever. Following the Rapture, the anti-Christ will briefly rule this world and violence will become so intense that the Bible states that if God did not return to put a stop to it, they would literally destroy everything in the entire world. Blood will literally be running as high as a ‘horses’ neck.

Until Jesus returns, we should understand that we face a powerful enemy whose depraved indifference to decency is not of this world. He has been about murder since the days of Cain and Abel and has intensified as time has elapsed. His days are numbered and he will increase his viciousness as it closes in on him. Non-Christians should be on their knees quaking from fear and asking Jesus Christ to come into their lives in order that they can avoid the bloodbath that is coming. We are told that we cannot win the battle alone; however with God at our side we are safe. Draw close to God today

1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because
your adversary the devil walks about
like a roaring lion, seeking whom he
may devour.
Resist him steadfast in the faith…
