Bellyaching Supreme

My wife and I bellyached all weekend about virtually everything. It was too windy at the lake which hampered skiing. Of course if it was dead calm and stifling hot, we would have griped about that. I moaned about working so hard and our company growing so fast. Yes, if we couldn’t sell a system and I had nothing to do, I would have griped even more about that. Too much rain – not enough rain; food is too hot – food is too cold; the same goes for the temperature in the house. I went fishing and only caught one fish; more griping. My son Jon didn’t catch “any” fish; it is a family tradition – bellyaching supreme! The church message was almost too boring to watch. Many people throughout the world are forbidden to attend church. First batch of boiled peanuts were too gritty; the second batch were too dry. Tomorrow is Stormy Monday and Tuesday is just as bad. Enough already I am guilty. I have determined that I just like to gripe.

It is time to get down on the knees and pray to the Lord for acting like a fool. I have been richly blessed far beyond anything I deserve and/or expect. I have been acting like an unappreciative jerk. I have nothing to gripe about and everything for which to be thankful. As I think about kneeling, I think about my old, stiff, arthritic knees and having to get back up again. Arghhhh! there I go again. Please forgive me Lord.
