Bad dreams

For the third consecutive night I woke up tired. I have been tossing and turning all night with nightmares. The first night I was fighting all night. I was always outnumbered and on the verge of getting beat up. The second night it was more serious, people were actually trying to kill me, and I spent the night running through dark streets narrowly escaping death. (No wonder I couldn’t find my belt.) Last night I was killing people all night long and putting them in a freezer. I didn’t know most of the people that I killed, but I did shoot one person that I knew. I shot one of our programmers with a bow. (It was a very nice heart shot from about forty yards.) I dragged him up the hill and put him in the freezer with the rest of them. Then I spent the rest of the night trying to figure out how to dispose of the bodies and worrying about being caught.

This dream was awful. I am so glad that it was only a dream and with the light of day I could rest easy knowing that it was only another bad dream. I will be especially glad to see the programmer that was killed in my dreams this morning. (Not only do we sorely need programmers, but I like this person very much.) All kidding aside it was a terrible feeling. I would hate for it to be true. I have no earthly idea why I dreamed such dreams. I was miserable all night long. When I woke up I prayed to God that He would protect me from having another dream like that.

I spent some time reading about dreams in the Bible this morning and came across this scripture. I do believe that we are close to the last day. Don’t know if I’m one of the old men God is talking about, but I hope not. I don’t want any more dreams like those I have been having lately.
