Little ones are watching…

I heard an interesting statistic the other day. Eighty-two per cent of teenagers drink alcohol if their parents drink.

Seventy-two per cent of teenagers do not drink if their parents do not drink.

Does anyone really want their kids to drink alcohol? Or smoke cigarettes? Or curse? Or express racists views? Or covet? Think about it, because little eyes are watching and little ears are listening.

And what about when your kids are rebellious and refuse to follow sound advice? If you love them, then you will discipline them. The Bible is very clear about spanking. It states that unless you “HATE” your kids, you will spank them when they need it. (Not beat them, but render enough punishment whereby they will remember it and not want to revisit this lesson). Too many liberals have forgotten this important “medicine” and are trying to make it a criminal offense for parents to discipline their own kids. No small wonder that we have Columbine High School incidents. You cannot just let them do their “thing”, you must know what they are doing and instruct them daily. And probably most important, don’t be a hypocrite, you have to try and set some kind of good example for them.
