Day of mourning

Yesterday I mentioned that we all have two appointments, one with death and after that the judgment. About an hour after I wrote those words, several thousand people without any warning suddenly met those appointments. The hijackers who committed this atrocity and went down in flames with their innocent victims will have by now received their judgment and just punishment. I pray that all of the innocent victims of this atrocity had accepted Christ as their savior and currently are walking on streets of gold in paradise; however common sense and statistics tell us that such is not the case. It makes this day all the sadder to know that some of those who perished in this tragedy did not have Jesus by their side as their advocate when they faced God and were judged by a Holy and righteous Judge. This is truly a day of mourning and we should also make it a day of intense prayer.

Please join me in this prayer and follow it with prayers of your own and a rededication of your life for Christ. The Bible states that only He can bring us peace and we should all ask Him for just that.

Lord God I ask you to be with the families of those who lost their loved ones. I ask You to heal the wounds, both physical and mental, of those injured and affected by this violence. Dear Jesus I ask you to unite this country once again UNDER GOD. Please let this wicked act serve as a uniting catalyst that will bring together the nations of the world as one, with the common goal of eradicating this evil from the face of the world. Please let people come to know Jesus in a worldwide revival as a result of this tragic event, whereby some good can be derived from it.
Help us to track down those who are responsible for this crime against all of humanity and bring them to justice. Lord help us to defeat the evil in this world and the satanic forces that are gleefully going about their dark work. Lord Jesus I earnestly pray for a global revival, where not only people in this country but worldwide will turn to you and receive the peace of Your Spirit. You have told us that apart from You, there can be no peace, but only tribulation. Help us all to understand that truth and turn to You by the multitude. Lord God you have blessed our country enormously and until now have protected us from this level of evil, Lord please forgive us of our sins, and please do not turn Your back on America as we have in many cases turned our backs on You. I ask you in the name of the Father to protect this great country from
additional terrorist acts Lord Jesus. Be with those who are suffering
Lord, and comfort them as only You can do. Lord help us all to keep uppermost in our minds that death can come quickly and without warning and that eternal life and not coming into judgment come only through Jesus Christ. Please help us to understand that death is the result of sin and that even Your own Son who was without sin and perfect in every way had to experience death in order to pay for our sins and save us from eternal separation from You. What You did Jesus, enables us to be eternally free from satan, sin, and death once and for all. Lord God we are thankful for this act of grace and ask that Your Spirit will reach
out throughout the world to save those who are lost. Amen
