Has God given up on America?

God has blessed America as no other country has been blessed since the early days of Israel. Is it over? Our currency proudly states: “In God we trust”. Our pledge of allegiance states: “One nation under God”.
Our country was founded upon Christian principles by our Christian founding fathers. All of the great early leaders were Godly men, all of the important documents that our country was founded upon used Godly principles as their foundation. I do not believe that the majority within our nation continue to consider God to be their foundation.

Not that long ago when I was in school, prayer was not only allowed, it was a daily occurrence, and the Ten Commandments were displayed in the entrance of every school. Pornography such as is so commonplace on television, theaters, internet, grocery stores and practically everywhere was not available. Someone who got pregnant in high school without being married was the talk of the town and sent to an unwed mother’s home in shame. Abortion was not just a societal taboo, it was
illegal. Homosexuals were still in the closet.

Look at America today. The ACLU, liberal judges, liberal politicians, liberal media, rich and famous elitists, and other Godless people and organizations have been successful in convincing our society that it is politically incorrect to have God as your foundation. They have been successful in labeling those of us who profess to be “born-again”
Christians, and those of us who have accepted Christ as our savior, as right wing fanatics. They have legalized abortion and made it acceptable within our society. Not only have they accomplished what was once unthinkable in legalizing abortion, now they are working towards killing unborn children and using them for stem cell research and cloning. They have convinced society that homosexuality is just another choice, and it is no longer what God calls it, an abomination; now it is being “gay”. If anyone dares to believe what the Bible says about it, they are labeled a homophobic. Christ has been taken out of Christmas.
Now it is X’mas. Nativity scenes with Jesus in the manger are no longer proudly displayed. They are banned. Easter is about the bunny rabbit, not Christ dying a horrible death on a cross and being resurrected in order that we might be united again with God.

I could go on and on, but it is too depressing. Without God, people turn to drugs, alcohol, sex outside of marriage, etc.in a vain effort to find satisfaction. The Bible teaches that when we sin, we reap what we sow. Suicide, HIV, Columbine tragedies, Alcoholism, drug addiction, divorce, unhappiness and other forms of misery are all examples of individually reaping what we sow. What happens when a nation rejects God? The Jewish people found out first hand; their country was taken from them, their most cherished institution, the temple, was destroyed and ground into dust, and the Jews were scattered throughout the world.
This all happened just as Jesus predicted that it would happen when they rejected God.

Whether the average American believes it or not, America needs God!
Please pray for this nation. Ask God to bring understanding to those who are destroying this great nation by methodically removing God as the foundation of our nation. Pray that we as a nation will return to the founding Godly principles that made us the greatest nation on earth.
Pray for a revival within this country like the world has never seen.
We must as a nation stop loving this evil world and turn back to loving God.

Not that long ago everyone thought the stock market could not go down; it did. Most thought that events that occurred this week would never happen in America; they did. The Jews thought their magnificent temple would never be destroyed, but it was. The Bible teaches that God will not be mocked. Larry King asked someone on his program last night why God would allow such a tragedy to occur. God’s protection against evil and blessings for this great country are in my opinion conditional upon our love and obedience for Him. We have rejected Him as a nation and now ask why He didn’t protect us from evil. One of the parables describes someone approaching God at the judgment. When he asked God to allow him into heaven, God told him to depart from Him into the outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth, stating, “I never knew you”. We need to know God as a nation. We were created with a free will. We can reject God, or we can accept God. That is why evil exists. Too many reject God.
