Normally I only send this message to subscribers of WFTD, but I feel this is so important that I am sending it to all Horizon employees whether they subscribe or not. These are perilous times for our country.
More lives are soon to be lost as we prepare to go to war. It is my sincere hope that everyone will join together this weekend and attend the church of their choice. We need to pray for our soldiers as well as some of our fellow countrymen, who will soon lose their lives waging war with terrorists, who will undoubtedly fight back with everything that they have.
Football games, baseball games, Nascar racing, golf tournaments have all been cancelled for this weekend. Sunday should be spent in quiet reflection, worship and prayer for those families that are suffering now and those that will suffer later. We should ask God to protect America and Americans as we try to eradicate this evil from the face of the earth. If you cannot or will not attend church, at least use whatever belief system that you have to ask God to protect us.
Many of us need to take a deep look at ourselves and see if we are living the kind of life that we need to be living. I know that I am. Who knows where this world is heading. Do terrorists have chemical weapons?
Biological weapons? Nuclear weapons? How many are already in the United States preparing their next suicide mission. How many people will
lose their lives?
Although it is frightening to many, we do not have to be afraid when we are close to God “casting all our cares upon Him”. Most of us spend more time on airplanes than we do in automobiles. Please thank the Lord that no one in our company was killed in this attack and ask the Lord to protect us as we return to work. The Bible states that God answers prayer. It states that, “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him that overcomes, I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Rev.3:20

1 Peter 5:6
Therefore humble yourselves
under the mighty hand of God that He
may exalt you in due time,
casting all your care upon Him,
for He cares for you.
Be sober, be vigilant; because
your adversary the devil walks
about like a roaring lion seeking
whom he may devour.
Resist him, steadfast in the faith,
knowing that the same sufferings
are experienced by your brotherhood
in the world.
But may the God of all grace,
who called us all to His eternal glory
by Jesus Christ, after you have
suffered a while, perfect, establish,
strengthen, and settle you.
To Him be the glory and the
dominion forever and ever. Amen.
