My Bible study partner is traveling all through the west, primarily the mountains but he is drinking in its beauty. Recently he visited the Painted Desert and the petrified forest and yesterday was going to the Grand Canyon. When he is not sight-seeing, he is skiing some of the most beautiful mountains in the west.

I wrote to him yesterday and mentioned that I remember the petrified forest and painted desert and of course the Grand Canyon. They are truly special places that I believe God looks upon and smiles. Kind of like an artist who has just completed a gorgeous rendering might look at his magnificent creation only magnified to a limitless power.

Another friend sent me the following video a couple of days ago and he referred to it as being my driveway. It is probably more accurate to call it God’s driveway leading to God’s new home that He will allow me to live in for a while. Lest I forget that it belongs to Him, He sends me little reminders early in the morning when the sun comes up or goes down every day.

I can’t wait to see what glorious creations lie beyond our limited scope of observation. Not to belittle it, mind you; it is God declaring His presence to us. But unquestionably we only get a tantalizing taste of it now to entice and whet our appetites. But one day we will be treated to His entire creation. Especially the wonders of the Universe and its trillions of galaxies. Just seeing the wonders of this earth will keep us busy for eons, one can only imagine all of things that lie beyond earth that God has created that will be available to our eyes.

As I was viewing some space images from the Hubble telescope this morning, I could not help but wonder how anyone doubts the existence of God. The Psalmist said in Psalm 19:1 – The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.

I read a piece written by R. Venting that is less clumsy than my writings.

Then carry this rule with you in all your contemplations of the universe – as you walk beneath the dome of heaven, as you tremble in the shadows of the everlasting hills, as you rise into rapture while gazing on the swelling grandeur of the great deep and feel yourself wrapt in the presence of God. The universe is the thought of God made visible.

Ahhh . . . And here you are fretting about politics and the despots of the world, Covid, the violence and chaos. Relax brethren God is on the throne and a lofty one indeed. Evil and righteous both at times will prosper and even die in peace, but those who have faith go on to glory. It is but a vapor in time before we will walk around with grins on our faces and joy in our hearts ALL THE TIME! Those who choose the temporary illusions and deceit of this life, well they will miss out.

Romans 1:18
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of humanity who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that humans are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened
