If we were to take something that belonged to the Lord, we would be robbing Him, right? I bet you think this is about tithing. Nope it is about vengeance. The Lord unequivocally states that vengeance is His and His alone. Too often we want to get even and take the matter of vengeance into our own hands. Do yourself a favor and leave it up to the Lord. This is very hard to do, and I must admit I am weak in this area. Consider the following:

I have a friend who is a dentist that has been harassing me unmercifully. I mentioned that I did not like to go to the dentist because every time I go I get the flossing lecture. They have flossing propaganda everywhere, even on the ceiling where you have to look when they prop your head back. Ever since I told him this, he has been sending me dental floss by anyone who knows me and telling me to floss.
I have many friends, relatives, employees and acquaintances that use him for their dental work, so I receive floss from someone almost daily. He sends me stickers for children that say: “I pitched a fit”. He sends me purple floss, white floss, orange floss, “wild” floss etc. He gave me floss for Christmas. I fear the Lord and do not want to offend Him, but I am going to retaliate. He will not know the place or the time, but I am going to get even.

Lord I am a sinner. Please forgive me!

Hebrews 10:30
For we know Him who said
“Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,”
says the Lord. And again, “The
Lord will judge His people.”
