I heard an interesting story yesterday at church. A famous pastor was on a plane and noticed a stewardess breaking ice with a wine bottle. He was concerned that it might break and injure her, so he went up and asked if he could help her. She thanked him and she asked why he was concerned about her. He stated that he just liked helping people and then felt compelled to share Jesus with her. When he had finished he gave her a tract explaining the plan of salvation to her. She was very moved by this and told him that this was the fifth such tract that she had received recently and wondered if God was trying to tell her something. She prayed with him to accept Jesus that day. It was September the 10th. She was one of the stewardesses that died on September 11th in Pennsylvania.

I have a friend that I have been trying to convince to become a Christian for some time now. Recently he received a package from a mail order house and a Bible tract was enclosed. This was very odd, because one would have never supposed that it would come from this particular vendor. The day before he received the tract, he received an e-mail from me urging him to accept the Lord. He laughingly wondered if God was trying to tell him something. Obviously the answer is yes, but alas, he has yet to make a decision. I hope that time does not run out before he does. God is long-suffering, not wanting to see anyone perish, but the Bible also emphatically states that God will not wait forever. If you need to make a decision for the Lord, please do not put it off. The next time you hear about God’s eternal salvation and what you must do to obtain it, you never know if it may be your last chance. (Including this
one.) If God is trying to tell you something, listen and act upon it while there is yet time.
