The Bible makes it clear that he has given His children a “sound mind”.
Makes you wonder whether some of your friends and acquaintances are Christians doesn’t it? (I know, that was mean.) Do you have a sound mind? God does not want us to go around with a fearful demeanor, rather He wants us to walk through life exhibiting God’s power through us, and God’s love through us. The sum of those parts is a sound mind.

I see many Christians who have little, or no confidence in themselves and/or in their future, which means to me that they do not have confidence in God either. People worry about their finance, their job, their health, their kids, their appearance, their relatives, their friends and on and on and on. The Bible plainly tells us over and over and over again not to worry, but to put our trust in God and to have faith in God. He loves us more than we can even comprehend. He has more power than we can ever comprehend. He has promised in the Bible that He will use that power to protect us for the rest of eternity. He has stated that NOTHING can ever separate us from His love. He paid a price for us that we cannot comprehend and you can be sure He will never let anything happen that is not according to His will, to those who He bought with His Son’s precious blood. Remember too that His will for our lives is perfect, even though we might question something that happens at the time. He has told us that He knows each one of us intimately, right down to knowing how many hairs are on our heads. He knows what is best for us and He will do His part to ensure our protection.

We can have peace of mind if we simply put our complete trust in the Lord and quit worrying already! Now every one of us should have a sound mind. There is not an insurance policy in the world, nor enough money that can buy us the peace of mind that God freely gives to Christians.
All we have to do is to claim it. Turn your worries in to God today.
Worry will never accomplish anything of value and is a sin. It is in essence saying to God that we do not trust Him to take care of us. It can only hurt His feelings and possibly make Him angry that we have so little faith in our Father who loved us so much that He sent his only Son Jesus Christ, to die for us in order that we might obtain the power of God and through Him live forever in paradise. Face today with a sound mind and power to spare and remember how important love is to God and in fulfilling our Christian lives by defeating satan.

For God has not given us a spirit
of fear, but of power and of love
and of a sound mind.
