What is needed in this country and around the world is more Christian families. The structure of a Christian family is defined in the Bible, albeit it is not very popular with today’s liberals. I have stayed away from this subject because I do not have time to answer the many irate e-mails it is sure to evoke from the women’s libbers out there; however it is Monday and I’m feeling a little spunky this beautiful Monday morning, so here goes. Men should be the head of the household and wives should submit to them. Ouch did I say that? No, God said it, in fact, more than once in the Bible. Husbands should love their wives as Christ loved the church. He loved His church so much that he died for it; enough said. Children should be obedient and honor their parents.
Children should be disciplined, but not “provoked” by their parents.
The Bible states that if you do not discipline your kids that you HATE them.

The foregoing is a recipe for success. I believe that the entire Bible is inspired by God, not just the parts that people tend to agree with.

_____________

Colossians 3:18
Wives submit to your own husbands,
as is fitting in the Lord.
Husbands love your wives and
do not be bitter towards them.
Children, obey your parents in
all things, for this is well pleasing
to the Lord.
Fathers do not provoke your
children, lest they become
discouraged.
