I have studied the Bible for quite a few years now. I have always paidparticular attention to the “end times” prophecies. I find references in the Bible to many countries that participate in the final war and Battle of Armageddon, but not America. Israel, Russia, Asia, Europe, Africa, and Iraq are rather easily identified as participantsin end times prophecies.Since the Bible does not mention America in the end times, I have to assume that America will not be around.

It is difficult to conceive of America “not being around”. As the world’s only remaining super power we don’t often worry about anyone conquering the mighty United States of America. However keep in mind the tremendous hate for America throughout the world.Think ofthe devastation and damage done to our country, economy, and lifestyle on September 11th. A handful of fanatics and afew airplanes changed the world forever in a single day.Now the world, via the United Nations,is turning its back on us on the Iraq issue, and with the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction to many of our enemies,it is becoming easier each day to see how a coalition of evilincluding many who once were our “friends”, mightjoin forces to bring our country down.

Sometimes I have a hard time understanding why so many countries are against us. We are not committing genocide, torturing, raping and gassing people with chemical weapons. We are not starving our people in order to buy more weapons. We just want peace and justice. This is nothing new though. Jesus Christ lived a “perfect” life. All he everdid was lead a peaceful life, preaching kindnessand helping peopleand yet the evil “majority” crucified Him without cause.

When you think about it, America, even with all of its problems and Hollywood influence,is the force in this world thatstands against evil. If America was out of the picture, who would stand against the evil and genocide of ruthless dictators? Picture a modern dayworld without the United States and you get a vivid picture of the rage of the end times culminating in Armageddon…(Do you ever wonder why America was blessed as it has been?)

A WFTD like this might make you fearful, but there is no reason to fear provide you have accepted Jesus Christ. The earth and all that is in it will surely pass away, but we will be with the Lord forever! The “times of the Gentiles” is rapidly passing. Soon the Lord will be coming back to take His children out of this wicked world and its remaining wicked inhabitants will be destroyed in a fiery conclusion.Jesus is awaiting your decision. Are you with Him? Or not?

______________

1 John 2:15
Do not love the world or the
things of the world. If anyone loves
the world, the love of the Father is
not in him.
For all that is in the world – the
lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life – is not of the
Father but is of the world.
And the world is passing away,
and the lust of it; but he who does
the will of God abides forever.
