I came across this photo that has gone viral and looks like an angel with sword drawn taken by a security camera. Glen Thorman is the fire chief for East Jordan Michigan and it was his security camera that snapped the shot. He said it’s an angel.
I guess there is no question who is watching over their residence while they sleep, and yes, they pray that The Angels of the Lord will surround them and their property.
Of course more than one expert is trying to explain it away as a moth, but it sure looks like an angel.
This reminds me of a friend who happens to be an atheist. We were politely debating the subject of his atheism and he told me that if God would write something in the sky to him he would become a believer; otherwise he wouldn’t. I laughed and told him that it would just be explained away by CNN or someone as a vapor trail from a plane or something. He has chosen his path and seems determined to die without knowing the Lord as his Savior . . .
Protection of the Highest Order
I had another atheist the other day tell me that Jesus did not perform miracles, this in spite of thousands of witnesses and the accounts recorded by Josephus and other historians, not to mention the Bible. He just cannot bring himself to believe that God has power that we cannot imagine. It seems to me a silly argument. No one can explain much of anything God has done to create life, the Universe and so on.
Free will is a somber thing and unfortunately many take it far too lightly.
Folks are going to believe what they want to believe regardless of the evidence. I believe the strongest evidence for the deity of Jesus was the behavior of the disciples. Even though they had witnessed the miracles of Jesus first hand and heard Him predict His own death they all took off like terrified rabbits and hid when the crowd came in the dead of night to arrest Him. After the resurrection and His appearance to them, they became so emboldened they immediately began preaching the Gospel and suffered greatly for it including courageously dying horrific deaths as martyrs for their efforts.
Satan places doubt and there are those who are deceived by him. As for me and my household we also pray for protection from warring angels. I personally witnessed angels on two occasions. Once I was praying very hard for a friend of mine’s son who was in critical condition and facing a grave outlook. I had a vision of the boy in his hospital bed with a nurse working on him and two angels on either side of the bed watching. The boy spent six weeks in intensive care but survived.
The other angel appeared to me in my bedroom and stood towering over me at the foot of my bed. At the time I was enduring severe health issues with five vertebrae being fused together in my neck and was in extreme pain.
In both instances, I felt greatly comforted by the presence of angels.
The Bible has much to say about angels. Pray that they surround you and your household in Jesus name.
Psalm 91:11
“For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.”
