I read an article about child rape that appeared in The Hill a fairly conservative website.
Click here to read the article.
According to the article pornography is a causal effect of the child sex trafficking epidemic. It was well written by Timothy Head, the executive director of the Faith & Freedom Coalition. The article was correct in its entirety.
I rarely look at the comments that are sent in response to articles, but something stirred me to do so and I was appalled when I read them. There were over 100 comments and all of them were defending pornography and ripping Timothy Head for his faith in the most vulgar of terms. They even made Donald Trump an object of their wrath; I have no idea why, as he was not even mentioned or involved in this story.
I was at a high level strategic meeting in Washington D.C. the other day with some of the most brilliant people in the country and one of them told us that before we can begin to change anyone on the left’s mind, we first need to understand the way they think.
Hmmm . . .
When I investigated working to stop Child Rape I did not anticipate opposition from most any quarter. I mean how could anyone defend raping a child? Nonetheless remarkably it has begun.
So last night man-boy romance screenplay, “Call Me by Your Name,” won the Oscar for best adapted screenplay at Sunday’s 90th Academy Awards. The script is based on a novel of a romantic relationship between a 17-year-old American boy and a visiting 24-year-old American scholar man in 1983 Italy.
Already there are organizations forming that seek to legitimize pedophilia by changing the perception of a pedophile preying on a child to the “term man-boy relationship”, or “man-boy attraction”. Isn’t that what they did when they changed the term “being homosexual” to being “gay?”
Try as I can I do not understand the thinking of men who want to have sex with children whether its homosexual in nature or male/female. For that matter I don’t understand how Joy Behar of the View can think that Vice President Pence is mentally ill because he hears God’s voice. The Bible states that God’s sheep hear His voice.
I don’t understand how a writer, Lauren Duca, for Teen Vogue could attack Billy Graham in a profanity laced tirade tweeting, have a good time in hell shortly after news of his death broke on Wednesday. When she received blowback, she was unrepentant saying: “’Respect the dead’ only applies to people who weren’t evil pieces of s*** while they were living, thanks.”
In an effort to try to understand the thinking of non-Christians I reflected on my misspent youth. I was a poster boy for sin. I remember when I didn’t think that anything was wrong with killing an unborn child via abortion. Getting drunk or high on drugs was my idea of fun. I considered it cool to go after the prettiest gal in the bar and a win if I could sweet talk her into bed. I used witchcraft because it helped me get what I wanted. And believe it or not I actually enjoyed fighting, (especially if I won.)
This behavior was not sinful to me, because I had no sense of it being wrong. So, when politicians and others lie, lust rages, hate prevails, corruption rules, and addictions flourish it is easier to understand the thinking. Christians don’t think like that even though they occasionally sin. When they do, they feel bad about it and ask God for forgiveness because they hear from above and not below.
1 Cor. 2:14
And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Will they ever understand without Christ?
John 14:17
The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you.
The answer lies in revival. Unfortunately, not all will follow Jesus instead of the world.
Understanding how the other side thinks is easy, considering who they are listening to . . . If you want to impact them positively love them. Show them your light. Witness to them and pray for them and with them if they will allow it. It is not a foregone conclusion that they will remain the way they are. According to the Bible all Christians are new creatures. There is always hope in Jesus Christ! It is a question of deriving one’s thinking from above or below.
James 3:15
Such wisdom does not come from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.
