President Trump wants people know to know he isn’t afraid of the NRA or anyone else. So, in a grand televised meeting with congressmen he made one of the stupidest remarks yet. He said “Take the guns first. Go through due process second.”
Excuse me Mr. Prez. but that might work in North Korea, Communist China, or the Sudan, but not here in the United States. I think this is classic Trump where his thinking process is Ready – Fire – Aim. He blurts out anything that comes to mind prior to even thinking about what he is saying.
We are not a lawless society and we don’t do away with due process because emotions are running high due to a national tragedy. He is smart enough to know that, but became the Democrat’s, (who want to take away everyone’s constitutional right to defend themselves no matter what the law says,) little darling of the moment. Too bad for them he thought about it after being reminded what the constitution says about due process and the Bill of Rights and he crawfished back on that stupid statement.
I’m not going to debate gun laws today, but I will say that all of us prior to engaging our mouths, should warm up the engine of our brains including you Mr. Donald Trump. Ready, Aim – Fire! Mr. president, it’s Ready, Aim – Fire!
