Stick to your guns

I have been writing WFTD for several years now. It actually started as a result of my own Bible study. I try my best to study the scriptures each and every morning. I feel that doing this first thing in the morning will help to set my course for the day on the right path. Sometimes it does not stay there long, but at least it starts out like that. I decided that perhaps others might like to receive a daily overview of some scriptural concept that I had studied on each particular day accompanied by the scripture that was relevant. My views are expressed about various aspects of the scriptures and how they may apply to society today and help us with our daily lives. I have been criticized more than once for something I have written that someone might disagree with, usually when it hits too close to home. Others seem to really enjoy it and occasionally write and tell me so.

I base WFTD solely on the Bible and my interpretation of it. Subscribing to WFTD is voluntary. If someone disagrees with my interpretations and viewpoints concerning the scripture and does not want to read it, then they need only to type in a reply, unsubscribe, and they will no longer receive it. It would take less than a minute. I do not ever look on the subscription list at any time and do not have a clue as to who subscribes and who does not. It is maintained automatically by others. I would hope people like it and read it, but if they do not, I do not really care. Im studying the scripture every day that I have a chance whether anyone joins me or not. I once had a sales person trying to sell me a painting. I told him, I do not want to offend you, but that painting is awful. He replied, You wont offend me mister, I didnt draw it! That is how I feel about the Bible. I do not really care if someone disagrees with the scripture itself, I did not write the Bible. God is the author, take it up with him.

The world is made up of believers and unbelievers. This will not change. Believers are to stick to their guns until the bitter end. The Bible will not change nor will God. I base my faith in God solely on the Bible. I believe it is the holy inspired word of God almighty Himself. If it is wrong, then my entire faith system is wrong. It may sound weird to unbelievers, but I feel honored if I am personally attacked because of my belief system. Why? Jesus stated that if we are persecuted for His sake that it is an honor. God states that abiding in His word, the Bible is truth and that truth will set us free. He also stated that one of the primary reasons that people despised Him is because He exposed their sins for what they were by speaking out against it.

John 8:31

…If you abide in My

word, you are My disciples

indeed. And you shall know the truth,

and the truth shall make you free.
