Do you hold a grudge against anyone? Do you stubbornly refuse to even speak to someone who was once close? Most folks have a hard time forgiving those who have treated us shabbily or otherwise damaged our precious pride. Jesus taught one of the great principles of Christian life, forgiveness, when He hung on the cross and prayed for the very people who put Him there. We are to follow His example, because forgiveness first comes from God. If we forgive those who wrong us, we will be blessed. If we do not, we will not. Freedom, true freedom, cannot be found without it. (Gen. 45:1-15) It comes down to obeying God and not yielding to our own wiles to deal with this problem. What is at stake is our own peace. Staying mad will not give you peace…

Eph.4:32

Be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,

just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

How well do you know the Bible?

The Bible states that we cannot be selective and choose to forgive some people and not others. What happens when we do not?

Matt. 5:43-48
