Through the years many people have expressed their viewpoint about Jesus Christ. Most scholars, historians, and major religions acknowledge the existence of Jesus. For someone who only lived for 33 years He sure made an impact on this world. Even our time is marked by His birth and death, BC/AD. The Muslims acknowledge that He was a prophet in their Koran as do the Buddhists, (At least I had a Buddhist tell me that one time). Christians of course believe that he was God incarnate sent to earth to save humanity.

Jesus came into the world to save sinners. According to the Bible all of us, (humanity in its entirety), are sinners. The Bible teaches that the human mind is carnal and it is enmity against the holy laws of God. As a result, we are incapable of pleasing God on our own, (so much for the theory that we can be good and get into heaven). The grace of God is love from a pure heart. It is exceedingly abundant as evidenced by His willingness to send His only Son to die a substitutionary death on a cross and accept the punishment of mankinds sins in order that we might please a holy God and join Him once again.

We must accept this from a good conscience and sincere faith. I hope everyone reading this has done so. Perhaps you have not. Do you think that Jesus was just a nice guy, or some crazy person who claimed to be God, or a prophet, or perhaps you have surmised that He is just imaginary and a figment of a bunch of weak people’s minds who fear death and as a result they had to make up stories of a super hero who would save them from a dark and final death or worse from a burning pit called Hell run by a devil with horns and a pitchfork?

Jesus stated that there is no other way to see God and enter into heaven except through Him. You have a decision to make, (whether you want to take time from your busy schedule and acknowledge it or not). Jesus is either who He says He was or He is not. We all are betting our eternal life on Him, one way or the other.

As for me I believe the Bible. I believe Jesus is the living Son of God. I believe that He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins and that He arose again in three days to glory. I believe that He awaits His children as we make our decisions and live out our lives on this earth. I believe Him when He states that he does not want anyone to perish, but He knows that many will, as He has stated so in no uncertain terms in His holy word.

One day I am going to shut my eyes for the last time and my body will succumb to death. I have no fear of death. I have no doubt that I will see Jesus face to face for the first time and He will lead me through the valley of the shadow of death and that I will be with Him always’ as He has promised.

I hope you will consider for a moment your own destiny and faith. What happens to YOU when you shut your eyes for the last time and you succumb to death? According to the Bible you will either enter Hell or heaven. Hell is a place of torment and darkness eternally separated from the light and love of God reserved for those who did not accept Christ as their Savior. Perhaps those who enter it will have thought Jesus was a prophet, some crazy person, an imaginary figure, or maybe they really did not care one way or the other. Heaven is eternal paradise in the presence of God and will be for those who have accepted Christ as their Savior through faith, I have asked Him for His forgiveness, and to come into my life forever. Make YOUR decision right now! I hope to see you in heaven!
