It is very interesting watching the news these days and seeing prophecies that were foretold two thousand years ago and longer, unfold before our very eyes. Jesus said that in the end there would be wars and rumors of wars – yep we have that. He said that there would be pestilence – HIV, anthrax, smallpox, yep we have that. He said that towards the end it would be a time of great learning – yep. He said that many nations would arise against Israel– oh yeah that one is happening. The Bible said that it would be a time of great immorality akin to the days of Noah and Sodom and Gomorrah – yep, it is pretty bad in that corner.
Guess what? It is going to get even worse. The Bible clearly predicts that earthquakes, strange occurrences in the heavens and natural disasters throughout the earth will strike terror in everyone’s heart. The Bible teaches that during the tribulation people will fear for their lives and hide in caves. I thought about this very thing while I watched the Super Bowl last night. Those laughing and having a “good” time will be left weeping. The Bible states that in that time conditions will be so bad that people will try to commit suicide but will not be able to do so.
If you doubt the Bible for one moment, just look at a globe. I have one on my desk. See how tiny Israel is? How about Jerusalem? Now watch the news tonight. Why is the entire world obsessed with such a tiny little dot on our globe? Because God ordained Israel as His Holy Land and He instructed that His temple be built in Jerusalem. Jesus was crucified there and will return there. The last great battle, the Battle of Armageddon will be fought near there. The Bible clearly states that things will continue to happen just as the Bible foretells.
There is good news for Christians. If we are still on this earth when the time for the full tribulation is near, we will not have to die. The Bible states that prior to the full brunt of the tribulation, God will pull His children, those of us who have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior, out of this world. In a twinkling of an eye, we will take on immortality and will be incorruptible, free from sin and the Hitlers and Osama Bin Ladens of the world for eternity. We will join Jesus and will be spared the horror to come.
Just think what the world will be like when all Christians are removed. A sewer of evil led by Satan. They will war with each other, and indeed it will be the “Mother of all wars”. The WTC tragedy will be comparable to a walk in the park compared with what is foretold for those times. If you think that there is fear, horror, terror, and tragedy in the world now, just imagine what it will be like when all decency is removed and evil rules.
Some of the very people reading this have not accepted Christ as your Savior. My God, what are you waiting for?
