It took courage for NFL field goal kicker Harrison Butker to give a powerful faith-based commencement speech at Benedictine College recently. He pointed out the obvious and with clarity that Biden’s behavior has been wicked. Butker’s bold proclamation of his desire for a pro-family, pro-God, and pro-life worldview resonated deeply, reminding us of the enduring strength found in our foundational beliefs. However, response has been divided. It was initially portrayed in the media as being a career ending speech with the WOKE crowd denouncing him and demanding that he be taken off the team, but hold on, then Christians everywhere started supporting him not the least of which was legendary coach Lou Holtz.
It is interesting that his jersey sales have skyrocketed and “gone through the roof” since making that speech. More and more Christians have thanked him for saying it aloud. Most people cringe when the obvious is pointed out, but not Harrison Butker. In the speech, Butker went after President Biden while adding, things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia, as well as a growing support for the degenerate cultural values and media all stem from pervasiveness of disorder.” He later urged women to embrace the title of “homemaker”.
I thank Harrison Butker for his stance and saying aloud what most people who have not been brainwashed in this country are thinking. I hope his stance inspires you to speak out. I hold nothing back in Words for the Day and am as candid as I can be. Yes some people may not like it, but I don’t like their stance either. We still have a semblance of free speech in this country and I’ll go to jail before bowing and kissing the ring of the WOKE minority. Stand up for Jesus!
