So, it looks like Trump triumphed over all his opponents in Iowa. I wonder if he will be reelected. He is really getting the shaft from the NYC and Georgia Democrat prosecutorial staffs. Yesterday he needed to attend his mother-in-law’s funeral and the judge wouldn’t let him. It was only for one day and the trial could have resumed the following day, but he hates Trump so bad he wouldn’t allow it. It is just a wicked thing. Trump went anyway and vowed not to let some two-bit judge appointed by Clinton to deny allowing him to attend the funeral of his mother-in-law and be with his wife who is devasted by the passing of her mother. I say bravo! Surely there will be no peace for the wicked.

New York is a screwed-up place. I have been there numerous times and can attest to the general nastiest of the residents there. It is a violent city and so liberal that like most democratic strongholds is going downhill fast. People are moving out and going to Florida and Texas as fast as there moving vans can take them. As for me I don’t want them down here. In fact, I left the Florida Keys because so many folks from NYC, California, and New Jersey were streaming in there. For the most part they are rude and obnoxious and unfortunately many bring their politics with them. The decent folks I have met seem to want to leave these bastions of corruption, but for one reason or another cannot or will not.

Politics is a nasty game with these folks. Many are corrupt and stuff the ballot box and rig elections. Trump is not the nicest guy in town, but he deserves better than he is getting. He is smart and was a good President. His problems are the general nastiness of his mouth and his arrogance. This is easier to understand when we realize he is from New York, but I along with many other folks are willing to ignore it in order to try and vote a competent President into office. I don’t understand why Democrats do things like forego bail for criminals and just put them back on the street the same day they are arrested, why do they want drugs legalized, why are they uncivil, and so on. It seems their lives would be much better if they just were wholesome, good, and honest.

Why, why, why? I couldn’t tell you, but I do know that God sees it all. Pray for these people, especially the ones who are not caught up in the whirlwind of evil. O God, I cry out to You for my nation. You told us to pray for kings and all those in authority, but how do I pray for bad politicians? The wicked restrict the righteous, and justice comes out perverted. God, do something new! Lord, You remove kings and establish kings; You even used an unbelieving King, Cyrus of Persia, to rescue Your people from exile. Knowing this, Lord, I ask that you either remove bad leaders from their positions, or work through bad leaders to do good. Lord, I will watch and pray for You to work through our nation. I will keep my eye on our leaders to pray for them, but I will keep my faith in You, for my hope is in You, not in politicians. Lord, I ask that You give me wisdom to vote my values.

Isaiah 48:22
“There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.”

Have a great weekend and go to church this Sunday!
