Yesterday I went to get an MRI. My father had Parkinson’s and due to the tremors in my lip it was feared that I might have it too. Last night the nurse called me with a report of my test, and it seems that I am experiencing symptoms that are caused by my age. I am awaiting another neurological test that I should receive today that should provide more insight concerning whether or not I have Parkinson’s and if there is cause for concern of a neurological nature.

In addition to this I am experiencing serious liver complications. I’m told that there is no cure for this one and it could be the cause of my demise. As soon as the tests that I took here in Mississippi are back in I will go to Atlanta to Emory University to consult with one of the top experts in this field and I should have a definitive answer.

Wow! All this came about after my recent rotator cuff surgery and the problems I developed whereby I lost 27 pounds in just a little over a month. With all the serious medical problems going on I would feel sorry for myself until I look at what is occurring in the middle east with thousands being killed and wounded.

I’m just exceedingly happy that I got to live as long as I have lived. God has blessed me enormously and if He has decided that now is the time to join Him in heaven then so be it. The people in this country are incredibly fortunate to live in this country. All through the Bible, the people that have blessed Israel have been blessed. I have no doubt that this country has enjoyed the freedom and blessings of God due to its love of Israel.

Remember this? Christians should definitely support the nation of Israel. We must remember that Israel, the nation, is very special to God. We read in Deuteronomy 7:6 these words: “For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession. The LORD did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the LORD loved you and kept the oath he swore to your forefathers that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.”

The antisemitism that is so prevalent today is the nemesis of countries and individuals who revile God’s chosen people and Holy Land. There will be a price that will be paid for this attitude. When my end comes I want to stand in front of God and know that He loves me for loving the Jewish people.

And lest you dislike Jews just remember that Jesus was a Jew.

The declaration that “salvation is from the Jews” suggests our immeasurable debt to Israel. All that we have worth having has come to us through the Jews. Our Bible is a Jewish Book, and our Savior is a Jewish Savior. Let us never forget to pray for God’s chosen people especially in these turbulent times. It is true that Israel, today, is in the place of rejection. The nation is a secular, unbelieving (as to the claims of Scripture and their Messiah, Jesus Christ) nation; but “. . . at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace”. Many Jews are being saved and are becoming members of the body of Christ through faith in their Messiah.

John 4:22
You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.
