Is it just me or does anyone else think that it is a sad day in America when the two frontrunners for the Presidency are Joe Biden and Donald Trump? What is the motivation for taking classified documents to their homes? For sure parts of Trump’s persecution is political beyond the pale, but the fact remains that he had boxes and boxes of Top-Secret documents at his home. Joe Biden, Mike Pence, and Hillary Clinton all had classified information too and all of them had carelessly stored them at their homes and in Biden’s case carelessly stored in a garage in plain sight. Are these Top-Secret documents considered trophies to them? Why do they have them? Geez it seems like if they needed trophies they could steal a couple of coffee cups, Whitehouse towels, and a painting of George Washington.
Anyone who is even remotely objective knows that Joe Biden, his sleazeball son, and his family at large were given money in exchange for influence by communist China and others. Biden has been caught in so many lies (such as his son Beau dying in Afghanistan in combat instead of in a hospital with a brain tumor), we can say with confidence that he is a certified liar and a grifter who takes money from the highest bidder. We also know that he is suffering from some form of dementia, and he is simply too old for this stressful office. And yet he is leading all the polls for the nomination by the Democrats which is puzzling, to say the least.
Trump is no better. He has been convicted of sexual abuse, indicted for paying off porn star Stormy Daniels’s hush money, and is facing an investigation for having a part in spearheading the Jan. 6th takeover attempt of Congress. According to news reports the former president was impeached twice, has and is being repeatedly sued, was indicted in Manhattan and in Washington D.C. with 37 counts violating the Espionage Act and so much more. He too is no spring chicken and is the same age as me which I can assure you is too old to effectively manage the United States of America. He is too darned old to hold the highest Position in America and yet he is leading all the Republican polls. This is also puzzling, to say the least.
Will Hillary make another try for the Whitehouse? The former secretary of state, had people take a hammer to social media devices and break them apart, apply bleach bit to a hard drive to erase emails stored on a Top-Secret computer illegally stored at home, allowed classified information to get on a felon’s computer — Anthony Weiner – and has miraculously escaped prosecution for those crimes as well as Whitewater, misappropriation of funds at the Clinton Foundation, etc.
What are voters thinking? Surely there are some God-fearing, honest, candidates with character waiting on the wing. As we recall various Presidents such as Nixon and his illegal activity, and Bill Clinton and their women, George Bush and his low IQ and war-mongering tendencies, just to name a few, it makes me long for someone who will tell the truth, a righteous brilliant person who can lead this country back to respect and credibility.
Currently, I support DeSantis for President. Having lived in Florida during much of his tenure as Governor he does what he promises and is not afraid to stand up against those who want to turn this country into another Sodom and Gomorrah. He has done wonders for the economy and immigration and so forth. Most of his conservative views are very similar with Trump’s; however, without the narcissism and crime baggage.
It will be interesting to see what happens to our divided country. The Bible makes it clear that we should choose righteous leaders. Can they be found? What qualifications should they have? In Exodus when Moses needed additional help, God told him how to choose leaders. If only we would listen to God and vote accordingly.
