So, the United States is being invaded. We are being overrun as I write these words and they are winning. Migrants from Africa, China, Central America, South America, Mexico, Pakistan, and yes even Afghanistan are pouring over our border with potential terrorists among them and our “clueless” President Biden, is smiling his classic bewildered look as he tries to crack the complex problem of eating an ice cream cone without it dripping on his face.
God help us.
The Ron DeSantis administration recently sued the federal government to slow down the invasion tide of immigrants, and Trump appointed U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell II, granted a two-week stay, effectively shutting down the effort temporarily. If that judge’s name sounds familiar it is! Yes, this is the son of one of my best friends ever, T.K. Wetherell, who has joined Jesus in heaven. One of his fondest dreams was that his son would reach the position he has attained. I sincerely hope he can see his son now. Not only did he get his judgeship, but he has gained national prominence with this order.
The left winger progressives are howling, the Biden administration is calling it “sabotage”, but they are powerless to do anything. Hurrah for Judge Kent. Wouldn’t it be great for him to sit on the Supreme Court one day…
One of my bucket list items is to live long enough to see how my grandchildren turn out. My sons have all excelled in life and I’m proud as a peacock of them and now their offspring are grown or almost grown, and they are showing tremendous promise. I’m very pleased with my sons, their wives, and of course the grandchildren.
Sunday was Mother’s Day and it made me think of my wife of 52 years. It has not been easy for her to put up with me all these years. I sent my Bible study partner the chapter review today and ended it with the following: “This Mother’s Day I am going to take Teresa somewhere nice to eat and do whatever she wants to do with the day. She is the best mother and wife anyone could want. Aside from my salvation, she is the best blessing by far that God has bestowed upon me. I was a certified sociopath and incapable of love when I met her, but I love her more than life itself. It has taught me that God can change anyone, and no situation is ever hopeless. Praise His Holy Name!”
As you froth at the mouth and anger saturates your being at the illegal immigrant situation, the economy, our WOKE defense, the trans and drag queen revolution, the violence and wanton murders, senseless wars, and lack of Godly leadership take heart. God is still on the throne and is still working miracles every day. And He continues to bless those who love and serve Him. I begin every prayer with a long listing of gratitude as I name all my blessings and then turn to praying for those less fortunate.
I have written this prior to my surgery this Monday. I am currently trying to find a way to send posts somehow-some way without using my right arm. Don’t know how I will feel next week, but God has blessed me with a high tolerance for pain and I have weathered many storms, and some were very painful, and I made it just fine. I look at it as a temporary blip. Thanks for the prayers but don’t waste time on me, there are plenty of other issues that need more attention.
Remember that the one who is blessed should surely trust in God’s love, no matter what.
Until next time . . .
Romans 8:35
“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? . . . No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord”.
