Good morning again, and I do mean good morning. It is great to be alive and on the mend. I was thinking yesterday about some of the trials and tragedies I’ve experienced and could have worked myself into tears feeling sorry for myself had I not stopped and asked myself comparatively speaking how many days have I lived completely free of any trials and indeed enjoying the blessings of God showering down on my head like a refreshing tropical shower. It was a humbling experience for me to review the blessings and good times I have lived compared to the relatively few days of darkness.

I received a letter from a close friend whose trials make mine look like a walk in the park. He recently wrote.:

“Bob first off, I am so glad that you are continuing to write WFTD, words for the day, as you stated in today’s message you reach out to so many people who need to hear the words that you write each day! God has blessed you in a way that you can write about subjects that people are dealing with each day. And they get comfort and peace from reading what you write! And when you reach God’s heavenly paradise, you will be one of those whom He speaks to and-says, “well done my good and faithful servant!”

God’s tremendous blessing to you, your lovely wife, your family, and all that you do!

I did not know, and I’m not sure why, that you were dealing with your health issue. You can be assured as a person who cherishes your friendship Bob, I will be PRAYING for you. Many of your followers are experiencing some medical concerns of our own ( including my wife and I).  I recently went through 6 1/2 hours of pancreatic surgery at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. The surgery was successful, they removed some of the Pancreas and things are looking pretty good! God is great.

I recently (4weeks ago), had knee surgery that was successful except for when they gave me the spinal block. During the procedure they somehow touched my sciatic nerve. The surgery was four weeks ago yesterday and I still have a great deal of pain (24/7) due to the sciatic nerve. Until I can lay flat on my stomach on an MRI table they can’t give me a shot because they do not know where it actually is in the spinal column. Unfortunately, I can’t lay flat for another week and a half because of the knee surgery.

While all this is going on,  Sunday, two weeks ago while we were getting ready to go to church, my wife, blacked out and hit the floor, blunt force trauma. She has a fractured cheekbone, a fractured pelvis, stitches above her eye and they ran many tests to see if this has affected her brain.

It was very tough for me seeing her lying lifeless, not responding and a pool of blood around her head. Most horrifying thing I ever experienced in my lifetime, I thought she was gone!

We are very lucky because she actually could have busted (2″ inches either way she fell) her skull. It was a frontal full-face impact. The doctors ALL said it would have been terminal. God is good!!!! She got out of hospital this past Sunday. We still have a number of tests to run to determine the cause of the blackout and they did surgery on her cheek last Thursday.

Prayers, prayers, prayers!!🙏🙏  We love you guys!  And as I said earlier, I cherish knowing Bob Williamson!!! Take care,  God bless!”

After receiving this letter I called my friend and prayed with him for his days of darkness and asked God to allow His light to shine on him yet again. I ask all of you to say a prayer for him and his wife as well.

Though it is impossible to determine God’s reasons for allowing darkness to come into our lives we are told in the Bible it is ultimately for His good purpose. Thus, we should welcome all days with thankfulness and keep doing what we can to serve our mighty Savior.

It is painful to type this message, but the Lord has given me strength to do so and He will give you the strength to serve Him in whatever capacity you choose to serve, knowing that our time on this earth is limited and this is a one time opportunity to join the battle against Satan and his demonic kingdom who are using every tool at their disposal to discourage and beat us down.

But God . . . Hang in there my good friends and don’t allow the weeds to choke out your sunshine and the fruit. The Lord is our strength – Call on Him and rise up and be saved. We are given both the days of rain and the sunshine and should use each to their maximum and not dwell on either too long.

Psalm 18:1
“I love you, Lord, my strength. “The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. “I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.
