Change is inevitable. God desired a world of change and yet he does not change Himself because He is perfection. He says as much in Malachi 3:6, “I, the Lord, never change.” Change means a move in another direction. For God to change would mean that He either becomes better or worse, and God is ultimate perfection. He cannot change because He cannot be better than He already is; and He cannot fail or become less than perfect, so He cannot become worse than He is. God’s quality of never changing is called immutability. We on the other hand need to change and emulate His righteousness as best we know how.

Every time a new politician steps into the ring, he promises change. But change can be good or bad. We know we should change oil, lightbulbs, and dirty diapers but many people believe we should also change our morals, ethics, and beliefs to accommodate changes in culture. But should everything be open to change?

The Bible gives us clear guidelines on what should change and what should stay the same. Change for its own sake is neither good nor bad. It depends on the direction the change takes you. We should be willing to change our minds and our lifestyles when we are shown from God’s infallible Word that we are wrong. We should embrace change, no matter how hard it is, when it comes from God. But we must respect that some things never change and are not meant to: pretending we can change God or His Word to fit our preferences is a dangerous idea and only leads to destruction.

Some people believe that God’s Word must change or adapt to keep up with the times. However, Jesus strongly validated the Scriptures and called them “truth” (John 17:17). He also said, “For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.” If God’s character does not change, then His Word does not change. His truth, standards, and way of salvation will never change. Humans do not have the power or authority to change God’s Word, and only the foolish will try.

Yet that is exactly what is happening and sadly this effort is being spawned in America.

Yesterday Jill Biden named a trans man as the winner of the International ‘Women of Courage’ award during the International Women’s Day ceremony. According to a recent Gallup poll acceptance of gay marriage is now 71% in the United States and yet the Bible declares homosexuality an abomination.

Pew research indicates that 61% of folks in the U.S. support abortion in all or most cases. And yet the Bible states that all life is sacred.

Marijuana is now legal in many states and in Oregon hard drugs have been legalized, thus they ignore the Bible’s warning about staying sober and alert.

140,557 Americans die from the effects of alcohol in an average year. 1-in-10 Americans over the age of 12 have Alcohol Use Disorder

40 million U.S. adults regularly visit internet pornography websites. 10% of U.S. adults admit to having an addiction to internet pornography. 17% of all women struggle with porn addiction. 20% of men and 13% of women admit to accessing porn while at work. The Bible warns against lust.

Almost 50 percent of all marriages in the United States will end in divorce or separation wreaking havoc on children and parents alike. The Bible states that divorce is wrong and we should be married for life for better or worse.

A major effort in the U.S. is underway to change the Bible to make it gender neutral and remove references to men and women. Like lemmings going over the cliff it is picking up momentum and popularity by the WOKE elites who are destroying this country.

Some folks and even mega pastors and major denominations are all but ignoring the Bible as it was originally written. They claim in part that change is inevitable and good and is a constant in this world. Not so fast chumps, in the end changing the Bible to accommodate and legitimize one’s lusts is sin and is evil and not good and brings consequences including sorrow and misery.

As testimony one need only look around to see that there are untold millions suffering because of it. The Bible is clear that change can be good, but change can also be evil. It tells us what is good and evil and we would do well to read it daily. Know that Satan will do everything in his considerable power to prevent you from doing that and is even trying to change it to deceive those few who do read it.

1 Peter 5:8
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
