A friend responded to my post about the Mississippi tornadoes recently and then told me of his connection with the family of one of the nine-year-old girls who was gunned down by the homosexual in Nashville Tennessee. He wrote:

“Praying for those folks affected by the tornadoes and now the ones in Nashville . . . devastating news.  My wife and I met in Nashville and know the parents of one of the little girls who was killed.  Hope your following can pray hard for Mike and Katie Dieckhouse and their remaining children.  Evelyn, pictured below, was only 9 years old.  My daughter is the same age – I cannot fathom that. Sadly, I’ve become numb to some of this stuff on the news, but now that I know someone it is utterly demoralizing.”

As I gazed at Evelyn’s photograph I could not find words to respond to my friend. I clumsily wrote:

” . . . Sad to hear of Evelyn. It is a nightmare to think of it. Our solace is that she is currently with the Lord in paradise and will never have to endure anything evil again for all of eternity. What would heaven be like with no children? Praying for the family and the other victims.”

I urge you to take some time today to pray for these families too.

She died a little hero, killed while trying to pull the fire alarm to stop a transgender shooter from opening fire on her classmates. Her family has described her as a ‘shining light’ and said that they are ‘completely broken’ by her death. I can only imagine.

“As the nation grapples with the murders of the three adults and three children at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, faith leaders responded to the criticism by journalists, commentators, entertainers, and activists who have mocked prayer and blamed conservatives for outlawing drag shows for kids.” Egad! Have they lost their conscience, or did they ever have one?

The issue for many on the far left is not the tragic loss of life but the opportunity to promote transgender issues and their “drag shows” for children. Their agenda is rapidly gaining ground. Indeed, the media is dominated by trans issues daily and its promotion of some of the evilest radical notions concerning innocent children imaginable.

Tony Perkins wrote: “We must return to the only lasting source of hope and freedom – the Lord Jesus Christ,” he added. “The Church must stand uncompromisingly upon the truth of God’s word, which is the source of hope and freedom. Nothing Washington is doing will matter until we acknowledge and address the moral decay and brokenness plaguing our culture.”

Well said Mr. Perkins well said.

As I think of all my grandchildren going to Christian schools and having them face what those children in Nashville faced, I shudder. What kind of world have we left them? Come quickly, Jesus!

Mark 7:21
For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
