I recently read where some San Francisco progressive natives insulted Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, by projecting insults. The insults called Twitter’s new CEO a “worthless billionaire, “an idiot”, “a Karen” and a “supreme parasite,” among a host of other insults . . . “
Hmmm . . . Apparently, they do not like the idea of free speech unless they are the ones feeling free to insult others. Musk’s crime is his desire to turn Twitter into a worldwide bastion of free speech open to all ideas except those that are criminal.
Personally, I’m a great admirer of Musk who is unquestionably a genius. He is currently the CEO of three different companies: SpaceX, Tesla, and, of course, Twitter. I personally know how difficult it is to run multiple companies, but mine were like microbes compared to these three companies.
He also is involved in several other projects including the Boring Company and Neuralink, both of which he founded, and until June, he served on the board of directors for the media company Endeavor Holdings, which owns the Ultimate Fighting Championship. To balance all of these tasks, Musk states that he is working 120 hours a week and that his grueling routine is: “Go to sleep, I wake up, work, go to sleep, work, do that seven days a week.” This demonstrates that if we want to wildly succeed, we must work smart and work hard.
It seems that the liberal elites do not like giving away even a smidgeon of their media power, but Musk bought one of their crown jewels that is read all over the world. Under the previous leadership, they admittedly contributed to interfering in our election by censoring conservative voices and news contrary to their political objectives.
I have never used Twitter but yesterday signed up. Elon Musk is the first person I chose to follow. It is so crazy for the libs to hate him. He has done more for the environment than anyone I can think of with Tesla and climate change is high on their agenda. He built rockets that are powerful enough to carry payloads deep into space and return to earth to be reused. Built a huge machine that could tunnel under roads to make room for more traffic in highly congested L.A. and so on.
He donated his Starlink satellite system to Ukraine when the Russians knocked out their communication system. I use Starlink to receive my Internet service and to stream television using his satellites that surround the world. It is amazing technology and works superbly.
I wonder why God gifted this man in so many ways. Could it be that He wants to even the battlefield some and offer unbiased free speech which leads to freedom of religion? I think that might be part of it. He does not appear to be a religious zealot and I cannot even hazard a guess as to if he is a believer. I hope so, but like so many others he does live a rather hedonistic lifestyle when he is not working. I pray for him often to receive Christ if he hasn’t and to use his wealth and beautiful mind to glorify God.
It is encouraging to me that he has bought Twitter. We have enough discouraging news going on in the world without the left making up more with no chance to refute it. The guy is genuinely funny, and his intellect is razor-sharp. He always seems to be two steps ahead of them, but they are coming after him like hordes of hounds released from hell. It will be interesting to see how he fares. My bet is that he has already considered the cost and has determined that he can complete it and it is worth it.
Luke 14:28
For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?
