As I mentioned yesterday, I went to church Sunday and heard a very good message. One thing I like about living in Mississippi is that there is a church seemingly on every corner. I had been hearing from my new neighbors about a preacher who was on fire for the Lord, so we went to hear him.
We were not disappointed. He preached right out of the Bible and made no apologies. It was a disturbing message but nonetheless, spot on. I mentioned to my wife that he seemed to preach exactly what I had been posting for some time and my wife concurred saying she was thinking the same thing while he was preaching.
Lately, I’ve written many posts about the apostate state of this country and indeed the world, and that I believe we are living under judgment in the latter days. I have noticed an unusual amount of unsubscribes when I’ve done so especially when it comes to the subject of abortion. It matters not to me if people subscribe or unsubscribe. If the Bible teaches something I’m going to boldly preach it. I get no remuneration from anyone nor do I seek fame. I am simply a messenger and I write what the Bible states and what the Holy Spirit lays on my heart and let the chips fall where they may.
This pastor referred to the Ten Commandments and in particular, the commandment in Exodus 20:12 – You shall not murder. He went on to show a video of a pregnant woman who was exposing her huge belly, (she was due at any moment) and she had written on her stomach this is not a human with an arrow pointing towards her unborn baby. She said it was no different than her leg or arm. This is an example of how far people have gone in their wanton desire to murder their children. They dehumanize them even when they are on the verge of being born at any moment.
The pastor then quoted from the Bible what The Character of Men would be like in the Last Days.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God- having a form of godliness but denying its power . . .
Can you honestly say this is not a fair assessment of the current state of affairs?
Matthew Henry said: Men love to gratify their own lusts, more than to please God . . . When men do not fear God, they will not regard man. When children are disobedient to their parents, that makes the times perilous. Men are unholy and without the fear of God, because they are unthankful for the grace of God. We abuse God’s gifts if we make them the food and fuel of our lusts.
Times are perilous also when parents are without natural affection to children. Does this ring a bell?
And times are perilous when men have no rule over their own spirits but despise that which is good. God is to be loved above all; but a carnal mind, full of enmity against Him, prefers anything but him, especially carnal pleasure. Hypocrites have been found within the church, in every place, and at all times. There have always been artful men, who, by pretenses and flatteries, creep into the favor and confidence of those who too easily follow their deceiving tongues. Those who follow every new notion, yet never seek the truth as it is in Jesus. Like the Egyptian magicians, who were men of corrupt minds, prejudiced against the truth, and found to be quite without faith.
Yet Satan can be let loose for a time, Satan can deceive the nations and the churches no further, and no longer than God will permit. That is the good news in this sordid mess.
So, we see people marching for the right to destroy life. Others celebrate their perverse hedonistic lifestyle. We see riots and looting, murders, wanton violence with no logical explanation, rapes, illegal drugs being legalized. Corruption at the highest levels, unjust wars, rigged courts, and self-serving politicians enriching themselves through every form of corruption even if perilous to their own country.
We are sickened by it, and we don’t understand why seemingly sane people would do some of the things we see daily. We need to know that they are under the sway of Satan and avoid them. His time is rapidly running out. In the interim stand up for Jesus in these last days and speak out against evil. Oh, and if you wish to unsubscribe because of the truths posted here, be my guest. Revelation 21:8
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
