I’m feeling bad today. So-o-o-o sick. Looks like I finally got Covid and it’s no fun. I’ve been in bed for three solid days and as soon as this is finished, I’m going back to bed. But enough about me.
I feel like I’m part of “The empire strikes back”. The Supreme Court proffered a huge victory for unborn children in overturning Roe V Wade on Friday. Mobs of angry people are rioting over it, but the angels are singing in heaven. Unfortunately, it has not gone far enough I read one article where California is considering a bill that includes a provision for infanticide for up to 28 days AFTER a child is born. It is impossible to conceive of anyone thinking of doing such thing, much less a governing body of a state sanctioning it.
We have a way yet to go in stamping out abortion. Liberal states are already offering up services for out-of-town women to kill their babies, and many woke corporations are offering to pay their way there and back. God sees it all and I’m sure sighs. Jesus told a parable about the wheat and tares. A tare was a weed and an enemy sowed tares alongside the wheat. The workers asked the master if they should pull the wheat up and Jesus said no let them grow up together. At the end, it will be separated, and the tares will be burned up and the wheat put in the barn. In other words, evil is allowed to grow among the good for now but at the time of the harvest, Jesus will separate the evil from the good. One will abide in heaven and the other in hell.
We don’t know why evil flourishes for a season, but we do know that God has ordained it so surely it has its purpose. I pray that this ruling is the beginning of a new era in America where returning to God’s laws distinguishes our country. Pray for the Justices and the millions of unborn who will be saved through their heroic ruling.
Matthew 18:13
And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the Kingdom of God.”
