I received a letter from a reader who has learned that God’s immeasurable love and healing can change one’s life. He wrote:
Some sin habits stem from deep, deep, bondage and can only be broken off through deliverance ministry. I was a patient at Honey Lake clinic in 2018. I stayed for 70 days. After that, I needed 5 medications to keep me mentally stable so I could work and finish my education. I went through deliverance ministry this year and I’ve received such a healing that I’m proud to say I’m off 4 of the medications and weaning off the 5th one. I’m giving God the crown and throwing it at His feet, this is a miracle only He could do and no therapy, no medication (as useful as they were) could have delivered me. Christ had to deliver me. I’m now free from A.D.D., depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and manic behavior. Glory to God!
I am delighted to hear of his progress. It is not surprising for me to hear this, however, because I saw it occur more than once while I was living at Honey Lake Plantation. The former CEO of Honey Lake Clinic which is the only clinic in America that uses all Christian psychiatrists, (something hard to find these days), told me that psychiatric treatment without God is like bacon without eggs. The two should work hand in hand with each other. Doctors and Jesus are symbiotic.
I witnessed many miracles at Honey Lake church My wife and I initially built a beautiful church overlooking Honey Lake to serve the local community and then the clinic began using it as part of their program. It is a special place of worship, and more than one person has remarked that they can actually feel the presence of the Holy Spirit upon entering the chapel. I cannot estimate how many have made public professions of faith there and later were baptized in the lake. On cold days we used a heated swimming pool. It has been a lot . . .
I was talking to a husband-wife ministry team yesterday who regularly teach at Honey Lake clinic and conduct the services at the church in conjunction with the clinic. He preaches and she plays the piano and they both sing glory to God. He was one of the Australian co-founders of the famous Christian band the Newsboys. He started out as a devout Christian but as many in the music industry are prone to do, as the years went by, he experienced a fall. In fact, after many years as the band’s frontman, he got kicked out of his own band for his drinking, drug use, and immoral behavior.
He underwent extensive therapy, but his breakthrough came when he surrendered his life to Jesus and was wonderfully healed. Now he travels constantly, preaching wherever there is a need. He has barely enough money to survive. Still, he has no desire to rejoin his band and seek the millions of dollars he once had, or the worldwide fame he once enjoyed; his fortune is leading hurting people to the Lord. Though poor by societal standards, he is rich beyond measure and Elon Musk is but a pauper in comparison.
God had to deliver both these guys and guess what? He had to deliver me as well. If you need deliverance, it may take some treatment by one of God’s medical servants, but remember the real healing comes from Jesus Christ. Anxiety, stress, guilt, loneliness, suicidal thoughts, panic episodes can and will disappear like the morning mist in the presence of our loving Father.
