I have recently read of Haiti’s latest plight that has struck that tiny nation with it experiencing yet another earthquake with close to 2000 dead. The impoverished nation has also just experienced a major coup with their leader being murdered. Additionally, they have been lashed with tropical storms recently adding more misery. It is one of the poorest countries on the planet and their wretchedness just keep intensifying.
One of the country’s official religions is voodoo. I have mulled the question of whether God may be punishing that nation for rejecting God and embracing a satanic “religion” in such a manner. Before you go off on me as being bonkers there are plenty of nations throughout biblical history that faced judgment from God for rejecting our Lord and worshipping false gods.
Then I thought of our current situation here in the U.S.A. I look at the devastating floods in Tennessee, the recent hurricane in the northeast, the fiasco on our borders, California’s mega fire, Covid, our disastrous political climate of absolute racial hatred, and of course Afghanistan and I wonder if the antigod sentiment in our own country may be the beginning of our own judgment. It makes one wonder if a voodoo doll of the U.S.A. isn’t being pierced with needles from every side.
While some would say, no, these are all natural occurrences. I personally believe judgment of this country has already begun. I’ve lived nearly 7 ½ decades and have never seen our country so messed up with antigod sentiment, especially in the ruling elite.
News flash: Our God shall not be mocked. To avoid an escalation that could end our freedom, we must repent and return to God as a nation. Call me a skeptic, but I fail to see this happening, but God sees all and knows all including the future and I don’t discount the possibility that it could happen. I continue to pray that our magnificent country return to its founding father’s belief that we are one nation under God.
Revival must start with those of faith. We must stand for what is right and speak out against what is wrong. God is full of compassion, mercy, love, and forgiveness, but we must obey His commands. We have experienced wonderful nationwide revivals in this country before and we need one again. I pray for one every day. Please join me before it’s too late. God does not desire for anyone to perish. His rule is not determined by affirmative action or quotas or what the world perceives as being a good guy. We must surrender to our Lord and Savior who paid the price for our black sins and obey His commands. Return to Jesus today!
