I had a longtime reader write and ask me to get back on the warrior trail to attempt to stem the decline of America. He wanted me to go back on the speaking tour and fight for America the beautiful. He has followed Words for the Day and realizes that I no longer follow the news and believes that if we are to save this great country, we must not drop out, but intensify our efforts to fight for her with every ounce of our strength until we just cannot fight anymore.
I promised him that I would look at the news and address some of the problems using Words for the Day. So, I did look at the news in-depth and my analysis is bleak. Crime is out of control and people are being murdered and beaten in the streets. I see where Chicago has over 110,000 gang bangers and a shrinking police force of around 13,000 demoralized cops. The solution according to many Democrats is to defund the police.
Huh?
I see nations including allies like Australia worldwide making derisive comments about Joe Biden’s worsening dementia; I see inflation now predicted to be higher than anytime in modern history due to historic multi-trillion dollar giveaway programs; I see idiotic policies on Covid which encourage people to stay home and live off what amounts to the largest welfare giveaway in the world’s history; I see Democrats trying to rig elections by refusing to require a simple ID card they use to purchase beer; I see Cuba which is 90 miles away murdering its citizens and beating protestors with impunity and the same with China in Hong Kong without a peep from our country; I see Critical Race Theory being promoted which polarizes and pits citizens against each other according to race; I see our history as a nation being expunged just as Al Qaeda did; I see big tech monitoring and censoring what used to be free speech to include our emails; I see our flag being desecrated along with our National anthem; I see gas prices astronomically rising as pipelines are shut down and oil and gas field leases are taken away; I see legalization of drugs on the rise; I see China being protected by those who profit from it; I see things like the San Francisco gay men’s choir overtly singing they are “coming for our children” as they continue their fight for pedophilia to be legalized; I see abortion being pushed harder than ever before and it is obvious that our children are the target of demonic forces. Egad!
My feeling is that we are steadily advancing towards the End Times and while I agree we should fight right up until called home, I really don’t see how one person can win the fight against the forces of evil that are so entrenched in society. We have become a nation of nations instead of one nation under God.
Only God has the power to change things but unfortunately most in our country have turned their backs on Him. I know He must be angry over what is happening. I love my kids and grandkids more than life and this mess will affect them more than me and I wish I knew how to do more.
I told my friend that he gave me way too much credit for my influence. Admittedly at one time I had the ear of some governors, members of Congress, and even a few powerful policymakers including billionaires that surrounded the President and was invited to many policy-shaping events including at the White House.
I have officially retired due primarily to my failing eyes, spinal condition, and other health concerns. I am amazed how quickly I fell off the radar when I stopped speaking and attending meetings and conferences. It was akin to putting one’s finger in a bowl of water and pulling it out. It isn’t even missed.
I spent most of my life working on my career and of course ministry and now that I’m getting old, I’m trying to make up for some lost time by spending time with my family. I told this man that I applaud those like him who continue to valiantly fight. He has been a faithful friend and has sent me many insightful things through the years. As for me, well I just cannot hang in there like I once did.
I assure all of you I do continue to pray daily and contribute through Words for the Day (as led by the Holy Spirit) and that is what I promise to continue to do. Please keep up the good work and if enough people will turn to God and repent and then go out and vote their conscience, perhaps God will forgive our nation’s sins and give us more time. If not, we anxiously await Christ’s return and the rapture.

At any time I might announce that a nation or kingdom will be uprooted, torn down, and destroyed. But if that nation I warned turns from its evil, then I will relent of the disaster I had planned to bring.
