It’s spooky seeing our Democrat controlled government and their ultra-left-wing radical following going after the freedoms that we cherish. The cancel culture snuffs out anyone who dares speak out against them and doesn’t toe their Communist inspired policies. They pressure financial institutions to cut off their funds, big tech to cut off their web services, instigate public attacks on those whom they consider to be enemies, and of course organize rowdy mobs to boycott their businesses and go to their homes and scream obscenities and trash them.
They are slowly but surely stifling free speech. They also are trying their utmost to close down churches, and freedom of religion is rapidly losing ground. And of course they want to take away our right to keep and bear arms. And so on . . .
One of their goals is to allow millions of illegal immigrants to enter the United States and I suppose they look at it like those are millions of Democrat votes streaming across the border. They are telling businesses and schools that they cannot open and when they do reopen what state ordained and approved propaganda they can use as curriculum.
Just yesterday I saw a young Hispanic kid working as a laborer on a jobsite who told me he was 15. When I asked why he wasn’t in school he said that their Miami schools are shut down because of Covid. (Florida has a Republican Governor who through executive order has allowed schools and businesses to remain open, but some mayors from Democrat strongholds within the state have defied him.) I talked to the guys this child worked for and they told me he was their cousin and they wanted to keep him out of trouble so they brought him with them to work. What a stellar education he is receiving, eh?
It is enough to make someone physically sick to see what is going on in our beloved country. My concern lies more for my children and grandchildren as I am in my twilight years and will likely avoid the brunt of it, but who knows, it is moving as fast as a meteor right now. Let’s hope it burns out just as fast.
I pray every day for our nation and its leadership to return to God. I’m reminded of David as he fought so many battles and his enemies pursued him with such reckless abandon. He never lost hope and his prayer life was continual and exemplary. And lest you think he wanted God to gently change their point of view just listen to one of his prayers regarding his enemies. I like it!

Arise, O Lord;
