It seems that big business is finally beginning to understand that the country is divided right down the middle and catering to one side or the other is costing them big dollars.
A growing number of big-name advertisers are skipping the Super Bowl this year, Coke, Hyundai, Olay, Avocados From Mexico, Little Caesars, and Ford Motors are just a few. Most of these companies have had a Super Bowl ad every year since 2010.
The reason? According to the New York Post, the talk from insiders is that members of multiple boardrooms are finally coming to realize that the country is split right down the middle and they risk infuriating half the country no matter what they do. In recent years, advertisers were thrilled to push the Black Lives Matter and Antifa ideologies or to push transgenderism and the #MeToo movement. But this year, not so much.
They have grown wiser and want to avoid the backlashes that occurred to companies such as Gillette razors, which lost $8 billion in write-downs in 2019 after ads pushing transgenderism and so-called toxic masculinity. And as far back as 2015, Jeep was roasted for showing images of foreign landmarks in an ad playing the traditional American standard song, “This Land Is Your Land.”
The experts say their research shows that most of these companies will be playing it safe, turning away from the hardcore, left-wing ideologies and instead turn to ads that consist primarily of heart-warmers and humorous ads instead of incendiary political statements.
Ah, risk mitigation at its finest. We all spend money and left or right wing money buys super yachts, jets, and mansions just the same. One can safely bet that money will always rule no matter the convictions or moral implications of the issues.
I am in shock over this revelation. It seemed that big corporations had thrown caution to the wind and aligned themselves solidly with the hard core left and there would be no turning back and yet here we are with a leaking dike that could begin to gusher.
Could it be that social media, traditional media, Hollywood, music, and sports will follow suite?
First, we need to understand that they all worship the same God – Money . . . And money pays for the lusts of the world.
I’m not from the show-me state of Missouri, but I would have to see it to believe that they will change one iota and I haven’t seen any evidence that they will deter even slightly from their chosen path. The media continues to repress the truth, promote bias through lies, and propagandize the masses.
I have observed that gas prices have drastically increased, occurring not so coincidentally right after Biden stopped the XL pipeline (ensuring that the oil would go to China) and also froze oil exploration on federal lands. Haven’t seen a word in the mainstream media about skyrocketing prices at the gas pump, or the million or more jobs that will be lost in the oil industry because of it. Nor does there seem to be much concern that the day after Biden’s inauguration China flew a dozen bombers into Taiwan airspace and did it again the following day with no response from the new administration. He has also stopped the border wall and reversed Trump immigration policies ensuring that more Americans will lose their jobs to illegal immigrants and so on, only to be applauded by the hard left.
Maybe the money being lost by some of these policies will make the cartel media and lawmaker kingpins in Washington D.C. take notice and realize that this was never about Trump but looking after America’s interests for a change.
Yeah right . . .
The love of money is the root of all evil. Seeking power is the tree trunk and the leafy branches are lies, greed, and moral debauchery. The fruit of the evil tree is lost souls that will ripen, fall to the ground, rot, and be devoured by worms.
As always there is hope in Jesus Christ, the tree of life. He will save you and me. We just need to trust in him and not this wicked -wicked world . . .
Revelation 2:7
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
