So tomorrow is the big day. A Las Vegas oddsmaker is now predicting that Trump is the favorite by a landslide. I don’t know if that is significant or not, but it is my belief that Trump will win big!
In my prayers I have pleaded with God to move voters in a big way to demonstrate that there are still a majority of God fearing Bible believing people in this country who repudiate what is happening and the direction our country is turning. I asked for mercy for the millions of us who form His remnant by not allowing a godless agenda to destroy our country. And in so doing that He show demonstrably that He is still on the throne and loves us dearly. Though silent in the past I pray that the people in this nation stand up now and reject the evil of corruption, abortion and return to religious freedom and decency.
We want an end to the evil, violence, and chaos we are seeing day in and day out. We want to live in peace to work hard and raise our children in a wholesome environment with our primary focus on Jesus. I’m studying Chronicles and in Chapter 22 David entrusted the building of the temple in Jerusalem to his son Solomon. He told him, “Now set your heart and soul to seek the Lord your God.”
Regrettably even when God grants His people peace, they often take their eyes off of Him and begin to drift away and as a result they lose their peace and rest. This is what happened to the Israelis and they haven’t known peace since, and this is what has begun to happen today in the United States. Millions of us need to repent and ask God for mercy.
I ask you to pray that God will have mercy on us even though terrible things like 62 million babies have been ruthlessly aborted – torn apart and ripped from their mother’s womb with many ending up being sold for their body parts. I asked God to have mercy for our sake, those of us who hate that evil and don’t want to see depravity take over our lives and nation. We ask the Lord to powerfully motivate all people to soundly reject the Democrat socialist agenda. Marco Rubio stated yesterday that not all Democrats are socialists, but all socialists are Democrats. Those Democrats and others who are not lost in this godless system of destruction we pray will see the light and vote for what is right.
My wife and I went fishing yesterday afternoon with another couple. We talked about watching the election on Tuesday night and the husband said he didn’t think he could bear to watch it. He laughed and said he would imitate me when I watch football games and prerecord it and if we win, he would watch it, otherwise he would delete it. He asked us to come over and play dominoes instead. I think I will watch it and see what God is going to do. It is my hope that all of those celebrities and “Never-Trumpers” are thoroughly trounced and will actually do as they said they would and leave this country when Trump is reelected. What a nice celebration that will be.
Let’s pray that we don’t go the way of the nation of Israel; not one step farther. Love your Lord with all your heart, soul, and spirit and seek Him before it is too late.
