I remember Walt Disney from my youth. He created the most wholesome products one could imagine and took the world by storm. As a child I used to love to watch him as he introduced his fascinating show. Well wholesome is gone at Disney these days. They just released an animated series about a bisexual character involved with witchcraft. The Owl House features a bisexual teenager who is exploring her sexuality while dabbling in witchcraft. Perhaps they should have named it, The Outhouse, because it is an exercise in depositing filth.
Series creator, Dana Terrace, identifies as bisexual and admits that she was intrigued by the idea of creating “queer kids” in the story. “I was very open about my intention to put queer kids in the main cast. I’m a horrible liar so sneaking it in would’ve been hard,” she said. “I was told by certain Disney leadership that I could not represent any form of bi or gay relationship on the channel. Luckily my stubbornness paid off, and now I am very supported by current Disney leadership,” Terrace added.
The thing I don’t understand about the Christian community is how they continue to financially support organizations that openly flaunt sin. One would think that Christian parents would quit doing business with someone who encourages their teenagers to explore witchcraft or participate in homosexual acts via a cartoon series no less.
And yet Disney rakes in billions of dollars as do throngs of other companies that brainwash our kids with evil. Our children don’t have much of a chance these days. Television, the internet, movies, school books, government propaganda, the porn industry, printed media all seem to thrive on promoting sex and other forms of sin. They go as far as glorifying a television series such as Lucifer where Satan is portrayed as being cool.
I shudder to think what it will look like in another ten or twenty years if we don’t start developing a conscience and using our wallets as leverage. A friend of mine has a fund called the Timothy Plan and he tries his utmost not to invest in any company that promotes sin. He has a long list of companies that he will not invest in under any circumstance, regardless of big returns, due to the evil that they promote Just imagine what would happen of Christians worldwide would quit talking and start doing and only buy their products from companies that don’t glorify sin.
In my entire life I have received just one revelation directly from God and it was: The world is ruled by money not by conviction!
Even the wicked will follow the money and the Bible tells us that “The root of all evil is the love of money.” The Bible makes it clear that conviction comes from the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit Convicts The World Of Sin.
Pray that the Holy Spirit shows you areas in your life He finds displeasing. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in making the right decisions, especially buying and using products so that you can have a clear conscience before the Lord. There is a judgment and we will all answer to God for the decisions that we will make today and everyday . . . Let your world be ruled by conviction and not by money.
