It seems we have the moving bug again and we have our house in Jupiter up for sale with two very interested potential buyers. This would make six moves in the past four years. My wife and I have discussed putting some of our things in storage and selling the rest and not even buying another house, at least for a couple of years, and living in different areas.

I might go to Alaska for the summer and when the cold winds begin to blow, head to Costa Rica for a while and enjoy the climate, gorgeous scenery and great fishing down there. Fiji and Tonga are also high on the list. The good Lord has made so many beautiful places that there just isn’t enough time to enjoy them all, but I can visit a few of them.

Some close friends and family have asked what has gotten into us. I suppose I’m just fed up and tired of being homebound and listening to the 24/7 bombardment conducted by the sicko media who seem to hate this country and hate our President with gusto. Leftists want to ban and defund the police who are already completely demoralized. For the first time I can remember the anarchists have taken over a section of a major city and won’t even allow the police into it. Every two-bit politician in the country is telling us to stay home or else. We can’t even go to church. If the Democrats get elected, it will only get much worse. You get the picture because you too are living through it too.

I yearn for ocean and snow-capped mountain views where God’s glory bursts forth like the morning sun. I want to fish the bountiful seas and view herds of migrating game coming down from the mountains to the plains and flocks of waterfowl filling the skies. I want to see the rainforest and jungles of central and South America where monkeys scream at you and wild macaws and parrots are as numerous as sparrows. And of course visiting Israel is a must! When I get lonely to see my kids and grandkids, well I’ll just hop on a plane and go see them or try to convince them to visit us in whatever exotic location we might currently be stationed.

I have reached an age where if there is anything that I want to do that I haven’t done I better get cracking because time is not standing still. I just don’t want to stay at home and watch television and read the Internet and sing woe is me and watch my life pass me by. I want to enjoy this planet with whatever time I have left.

I suspect if we decide to settle down, we will end up back in the Florida Keys at least for the winters and somewhere cool in the summer. Hopefully wherever I go I will have Internet service and keep writing Words for the Day. I can see it now; “This is Bob Williamson coming to you from Iceland. Wish you were here to see the Northern Lights and hear them crackling. God truly did a magnificent job up here.”

 Psalm 95:3-5

“For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.”
