I thought I’d heard it all, but nope, Democrat Governor Cuomo of New York in all of his wisdom has declared that all out of state health workers who traveled to New York to help the state reeling from the coronavirus will have to pay state taxes including the Christian organization Samaritans Purse who built a temporary field hospital there.

Even though the state government begged thousands of people to come to New York from out of state to help fight coronavirus at great risk to their very lives, they will now have to pay New York state taxes, even on income they might make from their home states that they’re paid while in New York. Incidentally New York has the highest individual state income taxes.

There is an old adage that states, “leave no good deed unpunished” and NY must have it enshrined in their constitution. I mean give me a break. Those who volunteered to go up there should be getting a commendation for taking such huge risks to their own lives to help others.

Rahm Emanuel is a former mayor of Chicago and a former Democratic congressman from Illinois. He served as chief of staff to President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2010. The United States was careening toward a global depression when President Barack Obama named him his first chief of staff, and he uttered a phrase that’s followed him ever since: “Never allow a good crisis go to waste. It’s an opportunity to do the things you once thought were impossible.”

He looked for silver linings in clouds, to exploit that silver and put it in the pockets of Democrats to give away for votes. This thinking originally came from radical Saul Alinsky who dedicated his book, Rules for Radicals, to Lucifer. Hillary Clinton wrote her thesis about him and Obama taught his tactics in Chicago. Some of his rules can be seen as major strategies being implemented today by democrats.

  1. “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” (Think Trump)
  2. “Keep the pressure on.” (Think Trump)
  3. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.” (Think Trump)
  4. “If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counter side.” (Think trump)
  5. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” (Think Trump)

So the left led by Nancy Pelosi is now trying to take advantage of another crisis by ginning up support for another two trillion dollar spending bill that is full of handouts for their causes to include Planned Parenthood and similar pet spending goals, but is primarily a bailout for states that have misspent billions of dollars in their ludicrous pension plans for their union loyalists. They will attack anyone who opposes them and keep using the media to push it hard and deep enough that it will break the opposition. Hopefully President Trump will not bend, but if he doesn’t, they will attack him as being heartless and causing people to suffer.

Every man woman and child already owes $75,697 each. How can we in good conscience saddle our kids and grandkids with so much debt, much less add more? Keep pouring the taxes on the people is Democrat Cuomo’s answer.

This crisis has set the precedent for removing our basic rights and freedoms. In the wrong hands it could wreak havoc. I asked a friend of mine in politics yesterday if he was going to be sending in storm troopers to arrest those vile lawbreakers who walk their dogs and attend church. He told me he had complete authority to do whatever his council deemed best in the county and they were closer to the issues than ordinary people. How very paternalistic of him. He is a good guy and no doubt will try to act responsibly but what about those who don’t or won’t? What if some radical wants to seize your property or bank account “for the good of all?”

The Bible has plenty to say about spending money wisely. The Wise Will Save – The Fool Spends It All

Proverbs 21:20 – In the House of the wise are stores of choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has. The simplicity behind the idea to ‘spend less than you earn’ is shared clearly in this verse. If our government would spend the money wisely and provide for the needy instead of funding the murder of innocent babies and supporting the NY opera and museums, I would have a different mindset, but too many look at this crisis as the perfect opportunity to give money to their political fat cats. Ugh!

Luke 12:33

Sell your possessions and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.
