If anyone reads the book of Exodus, they are familiar with plagues sent by God to convince pharaoh to allow the Jewish people to leave Egypt. Pharaoh was not about to allow all those slaves their freedom and when he refused God’s emissary Moses, the plagues began. Could God be warning the world today that sin will not indefinitely be tolerated? Check out some recent activity:
One of the world’s oldest and most destructive insects is wreaking havoc in Africa.
Billions of desert locusts swarm across a large part of East Africa eating their way through the continent, they are putting crops, food security and millions of lives at risk from famine. Experts say the average swarm can contain up to 150 million locusts, travel 100 miles in a single day and grow as large as 250 football fields. “That swarm in one day can eat the same amount of food as the entire population of Kenya,” or if you prefer an example closer to home, eat the same amount of food as everybody in the tri-state area—New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York.”
Fires are raging in Australia burning everything in their path. It has been an ecological and financial disaster.
The smoke can be seen from outer space.
A deadly new virus has been unleashed on the world beginning in China named the Coronavirus. It has killed thousands and has the capacity to become a pandemic and wipe out millions of people all over the world.
War is a constant threat with China and it now has amassed an End Time prophesied two-million-man army.
Russian nukes and weapons are poised to destroy. Another end Time prophesy of Magog.
Drug addiction abounds and hundreds of millions around the world are enslaved by it.
Gay marriage had become acceptable and even the Democrat presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg claims he is the “wife” of his homosexual lover.
Abortion is claiming millions of lives and continues today. 63 million babies slaughtered and counting.
I could go on and show child sex trafficking images, racism, homelessness, and the like but you get the picture. Weird occurrences are happening. Is God silent on the subject, or is He giving us warnings about impending consequences of our collective sins? Swarms of locusts, fires, earthquakes, disease, and other forms of phenomenon are ravaging the world. I suggest that these are not coincidences.
Wake up America. Throughout its history this country has led the world as “One Nation Under God.” Are we now leading it to the abyss? Think about it, pray about it, and vote in this coming election to elect those who follow Christ and love God.
