It is amazing to me to look at all my children and grandchildren. I did not think I would reach the age of 25 and yet here I am with a large tremendous family celebrating Christmas and the New Year holiday. My wife, sons, daughters-in-law, grandkids, and in-laws all came to my home in Jupiter. There are 17 of us in all and it’s been loads of fun to be together with laughter galore.
I have been blessed so much in my life that I still find it difficult to believe. I didn’t deserve a great Godly family like this, but the goodness of God and His love have been showered on me for reasons known only to Him. We have relived old times, shown old and new photos, gone fishing, kayaking, played touch football in the yard and on the beach, played put-put golf, watched football games, and eaten more than anyone should. We have prayed together, and it is really something to watch my ten-year-old grandson lead us in saying grace for a big turkey dinner.
I just wanted to publicly say thank You Jesus from the bottom of my heart.
I have a little sign leading from my hallway into the garage that reads:
Live – Laugh – Love – The most important things in life are not things.
I pray that your holidays are going the same for you. Love God with all your heart for He surely loves you! If you love your children, you should teach them this concept so when they grow old, they can have experiences like those mentioned above.
Proverbs 22:6
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
