Wouldn’t it have been fun and interesting to be a fly on the wall and been able to watch God create man. It would be pretty neat to understand His true and complete purpose for designing us the way that we are and listen to Him explain the logic of His design criteria and human specifications.
God would have a lump of clay in His hand and then He would set about designing and then sculpting our basic body design. God always thinks of everything and has numerous reasons for doing things and accomplishes several purposes with each thing He does.
I got to thinking about three of the most commonly used and most important items of our bodies; (eyes, ears, and mouth.) Obviously we use them for more than one purpose and everyone is familiar with them.
Now God could have given us as many mouths as he wanted. The same is true for eyes and ears. Why not twenty mouths and one ear and one eye? Could it be that God wanted to send us a message with our basic body design? Should we watch and listen twice as much as we talk?
I’ve been advising my kids of business matters and other strategies since an early age. One thing I’ve constantly harped to them about is when negotiating don’t ever think out loud.
Carefully observe your opponent’s expressions, demeanor, et al and always hear out everything they have to offer and then completely think out your position before you blurt out everything that comes to mind. I was thinking about this sage piece of advice that I’ve been drilling into my kid’s heads since they could crawl.
Could it be that God is teaching us a similar strategy with His basic design of our bodies? Listen and observe twice as much as you talk. I think that He may have done just that, (possibly just for amusement).
Hmmm . . . Now I wonder if those guys who designed our crosswalks had an ulterior motive with their stop, look and listen before you walk process.
Naw . . .
Proverbs 29:11
A fool vents all his feelings,
But a wise man holds them back.
Proverbs 29:20
Do you see a man hasty in his words?
There is more hope for a fool
than for him.
Proverbs 18:13
He who answers a matter
before he hears it,
It is like folly and shame to him.
