The other day I received this email from a reader:
Brother Bob . . . Thank you for proclaiming the truth of God’s Word!
I have a miraculous testimony of the faithfulness of God in answer to prayer when we pray for the salvation of others . . . we have this promise that “His Word shall not return unto Him void but will accomplish His purpose”
I prayed for my husband’s salvation for 54 years. On his deathbed, in a deep coma, my precious pastor came to our house and prayed the sinners prayer with him and at the end of the prayer my 14 year old grandson said: “grandpa if you prayed this prayer will you raise your hand” and immediately one hand went up followed by the other and within an hour and a half he went home to be with the Lord.
I have learned to never give up praying for others, God in his mercy and grace is FAITHFUL TO HIS PROMISES . . . They are YES, AND AMEN!
And I give all the “PRAISE, HONOR AND GLORY TO HIM WHO SITS ON THE THRONE AND UNTO THE LAMB”.
By the way, the pastor I am referring to is your friend: Pastor David Uth, a dedicated and faithful servant of the Lord.
My mother was an atheist when I was young, but she had a change of heart and turned to God along with my father. I left home before her transition to becoming a faithful Christian began in earnest. I of course was living a life straight out of hell with drugs, crime, and evil sin abounding in my life. I was on the run from the law and had fled to Canada and one night while I was stoned out of my mind on LSD I had an irresistible urge to call home even though I had not talked to anyone in my family for perhaps a year. At the precise time I called, my mother was on her knees praying for me. She and my father convinced me to turn myself in to the authorities and the next day I did. Eventually I too found God and my life was totally transformed from walking dead to running live. Her prayers had much to do with my salvation.
Don’t ever underestimate the power of prayer and no matter how deep someone may appear to have sunk in life, understand that miracles can and do happen. God hears our prayers and He answers them, and anyone can be resurrected through faith. Pray for those who are lost.
Acts 9:40
But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.
