Last week I was invited along with 50 other leaders to the Whitehouse for a meeting in September concerning the right to life for unborn children. Later in the day we are meeting with congressional leaders in the Senate and House including the Senate majority leader Mitch McConnel and the majority leader of the House Paul Ryan.
As I thought about these meetings I became incredibly thankful to God. No, not for a personal opportunity to visit the Whitehouse, but because our country elected a President who is willing to allow such a meeting to occur at the Whitehouse and for congressional leaders who are willing to do the same.
Can you imagine Barrack Obama allowing a bunch of “right to lifers” an audience with him at the Whitehouse? Or how about Hillary Clinton who famously stated that a woman should have the right to kill an unborn child even seconds before it was due to be born? Or how about Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, or Chuck Shumer?
They would have scorned us and labeled us a hate group. I shudder to think what would be today if the elections had gone the other way.
So, what about all these so-called “Christians” ranting away at Trump? Well go ahead and get indignant if you will, but if you truly are a Christian you should be thankful, because no other President has done so much for Christians in such a short period of time, not the least of which is appoint a conservative constitutionalist to the Supreme Court and hopefully a couple more before it is over.
Yes, he has boorish, crude behavior, and is sometimes a foul-mouth/loud-mouth’ His behavior is sometimes unbecoming for a President and the bottom line is he is not the “ideal Christian.”
Who is?
Certainly not me. I have too many faults to record in this post, but at least I’m trying to do something for the kingdom of God. Trump is bravely trying his utmost to do something for the country. He is a multi-billionaire and doesn’t need attacks on him, his family, his businesses, his friends, and so on, but is sacrificing in order to try to save us from radical socialists who are determined to fundamentally change America to an immoral cesspool.
Before you join the lemmings and run over the cliff, stop and THINK about this for a moment. And hopefully you will thank God as I have done for miraculously helping us to elect a President who is willing to help Christians and supports Israel.
1 Thess. 5:18
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
