So, beginning with the departure of Fox News founder Roger Ailes and now Bill O’Reilly and more changes to come, the last conservative enclave in a liberal media cesspool will soon be extinct. There will be no alternative conservative voice of any size in the media unless another is spawned from demand.
Since taking over from conservative 86 year old Rupert Murdoch two years ago, James and Lachlan Murdoch seem determined to rid the company of the conservative voice of Fox News on which their father built his empire.
They are resolute to change Fox News forever. It is said that James who is heavily influenced by his progressive-minded wife, Kathryn, have long been embarrassed by Fox News. The couple intensely dislikes Donald Trump, and I suppose they feel similarly towards those who supported and voted for “the Donald”, (their audience base).
Unfortunately for those who desire to have an alternative to the liberal bias of the progressive news media, James is deemed to be more powerful than his slightly conservative brother and he seems to be taking the lead in transforming the news organization to what he described as more of a Megyn Kelly approach.
It appears to me that the change in strategy is not all about instilling progressive values, but in part is about, (you guessed it,) making more money. The brothers theorize that Fox News may be able to bring in bigger profits by introducing some offerings that are less politically polarized to broaden its appeal. By drawing in what they have determined to be a more mainstream audience, which adds younger viewers – the kind advertisers love – they can increase the coffers.
James and Lachlan Murdoch are not only changing the news coverage to appeal to progressives they are also changing benefits to attract employees who share those progressive values including what they describe as, “expanded coverage for our transgender colleagues.” The brothers have also shaken up Fox’s profile in Washington, replacing their father’s Republican lobbying chief with a Democratic one.
I guess Hollywood is celebrating the fall of Aisles and O’Reilly and the coming changes as are the rest of the elitists around the country and indeed the world.
Why conservatives are losing their one lone voice in the media is baffling. One would think that someone somewhere has enough money to build a conservative media conglomerate that would not spin the truth.
This debacle reminds me of the struggle that is ongoing in this country. If votes cast by 18-25 year old voters were the only votes counted in our last election, then Trump would have received 25 electoral votes and atheist socialist Bernie Sanders would be President. These will be the voters who decide the future of America in another ten years.
Hmmm . . . Something to think about . . . Eh?
Somehow, some way, something, needs to be done about this, or our kids and grandchildren will live in a Godless socialist/communist state. The propaganda is overwhelming and the truth has been lost in the shuffle. Parents, it seems the responsibility for teaching your children the truth lies upon you. The media won’t do it; the church doesn’t seem to be doing it; academia darn sure isn’t doing it; Arts and Entertainment isn’t doing it; and nor is the government.
I pray that God will help you in that effort. It starts with opening a Bible and understanding a biblical worldview which is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Teach your kids the truth . . .
