Our country is bitterly divided. I can relate to those Clinton supporters who lost the election. Had Hillary won I would feel equally despondent. So how does it get fixed?
Fighting them in the streets? Killing two of them for every one they kill? Jailing them all? No, the secret of unity lies in changing minds. Consider the difficulty of changing the minds of Muslim kids who have been radicalized and taught since early childhood that Jews are monkeys and pigs and anyone who does not worship Allah should be beheaded, (after raping the women and forcing others into various from of slavery.)
They need to be told the truth and they need to learn of the love of God.
Like it or not our own kids right here in the United States of America have been and still are being radicalized in a school system dominated by atheistic radical left wing thinking. This is not an accident. Absolute proof now exists that clearly demonstrates that our schools have been targeted by the left with big money. They have financed school board elections, poured huge sums of money into the funds of candidates that will spread their doctrine of hate. They have given scholarships to atheist kids who agree to teach school. They have engaged in rewriting textbooks to promote evolution and social engineering.
I received a letter that exemplifies this and here is an excerpt:
“I dedicated much of my adult life fighting for liberal causes, from an internship at Planned Parenthood to the board of the ACLU. Along the way, I became an agnostic and then an atheist. I traced the root of my indoctrination back to liberal college professors. I understand that the indoctrination is now happening as early as kindergarten. The next generations’ mind and soul is literally being stolen right before our eyes.
By God’s grace, I was radically saved by an encounter with Jesus. I want to help prevent the indoctrination that happened to me from happening to others. There is a growing understanding that school-choice is the foundation on which all conservative issues rest upon. There can be no true understanding of American exceptionalism, if we allow children to be taught to have disdain for their country in the public schools. There can be no pro-life movement, if children are trained by Planned Parenthood in the public schools. There can be no understanding of the founding principles, if the children never read the constitution. And there can be no biblical worldview, if children never read the bible.”
We must change minds to receive the truth of Jesus Christ and not lies of those who wish to attack God and the church. I believe most anyone will turn to God once they understand the truth. It must be delivered in a kind way without condemnation and I believe that is where most of us go wrong. It is difficult to love someone whom you perceive to be your enemy, but Jesus tells us to do it anyway. It wasn’t easy for Him to die for our sins, but He did it.
Our plan to change minds is to tell the truth in a loving way that will convince our youth that following Christ is the better way. I urge you to support the Jesus Alliance in getting the truth out.
