God told Israel what to look for in leaders. Exodus 18:21 states: “Moreover, look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens”.

Oh how we long for leaders with those qualifications to lead our struggling nation.

Israel did not listen to God and became wicked and the old weeping prophet Jeremiah lamented what was soon to take place for their disobedience beginning in Jer. 17:1. The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron; with a point of diamond it is engraved on the tablet of their heart, and on the horns of their altars . . .

Your wealth and all your treasures I will give for spoil as the price of your high places for sin throughout all your territory. You shall loosen your hand from your heritage that I gave to you, and I will make you serve your enemies in a land that you do not know, for in my anger a fire is kindled that shall burn forever.”

Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord . . .

Ugh . . . Our nation has unquestionably turned away from the Lord and immersed itself in the pursuit of sin. It became official that we were turning away from God as a nation when Obama declared that we are no longer a Christian nation soon after he took office. When the proposal arose of adding God to the Democrat’s platform for the presidency for the next cycle at their last convention, it was openly and loudly booed and jeered until it was quelled.

Proverbs 29:2 states: “When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan”.

I am sickened to think of the ramifications of another Clinton presidency. I have joined millions of other believers in non-stop praying for God to directly intervene and not allow Hillary Clinton to be elected. If the polls are correct however, she will be elected and judgment of our wicked nation will begin in earnest and the persecution of Christians which began under Obama will dramatically increase.

We deserve it; no question about it. We have become a sinful and idolatrous nation worshipping money and all the lusts of the world. We have become barbaric in sacrificing 52 million innocent aborted babies to the demonic influences of a culture that has devalued life. We have allowed sexual perversion of the most wicked design to overwhelm our beloved country. We have allowed lawlessness to become the norm with the constitution becoming a joke. The list is long and sickening and has boiled down to what is right is wrong and what is wrong is right, this per the icons of our culture.

We deserve to be punished, but our hope is in Jesus Christ, because He offers something that we do not deserve and cannot be purchased. He offers abundant eternal life as His free gift to all who will abide in Him. He, though pure and innocent, voluntarily took our punishment for the sins we committed and thereby enabled us to escape the horrors of hell and enjoy life with him in paradise. Unfortunately, so many still turn from Him and mock Him, ignoring warning after warning such as Gal. 6:7 Don’t be misled–you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant..

If you have not voted, once again I urge you to vote for Donald Trump as an alternative to 4 more years of the Obama agenda via Hillary Clinton. If he loses, keep it in context and don’t lose heart. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. There is yet time to turn this nation around. Stay strong and keep working.

2 Cor.4:17

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, yet our inner self is being renewed day by day. For our light and temporary affliction is producing for us an eternal glory that far outweighs our troubles. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal . . .
